Your team was good today & deserve credit lots of it

And I can say that Aidan Tropiano will win the Sandover this year barring anything unusual from now on in & only Ryan Davis is close enough to somehow get it out of his hands

Yes I agree Southerner, the boys gave it their all yesterday but missing those three set shots from inside 50 in the first 10 minutes of the last quarter killed the momentum and the last 15 minutes was disappointing as South ran through the middle without much pressure. Our foot skills really deteriorated badly in that last quarter.

Yep another top in and under performance from Tropiano but sending Ryan Cook to him quietened him down in that last quarter when the game was up for grabs.

Top win by the colts but we got them at the right time with the U18s on. Reid Polak deserves a mention as well. Pretty impressive performance from the youngster in the ressies after being put up from the colts.

Agree Dazzler. Those three set shots changed the momentum for the boys. Should have resulted with an 8 point lead early in the last quarter with all the running and the final result could have been different.
You could see the heads drop especially Lachie Dennis who had taken a superb intercept pass mark but missed the goal from short range.
Snake is encouraging them to take the game on but the skills are letting them down and turnovers are killing them.
Souths too much run and too good when it mattered in the end. but cannot fault our endeavour.

Over the last three games I reckon we probably should have won at least two of them. Have definitely been in positions to do so. However the results say we didn't.

The team is slowly improving and we are playing a lot better than what we were in the first month of the season. It looks like Earl's message is slowly starting to sink in and that the players are starting to adjust better to Earl's game plan. There are still some deficiencies like the skill execution at times and also going missing for 10-15 minutes like yesterday or a quarter like like we did against Swans.

It has also been good to see young players finally get given a chance in the league team and to see them develop. Most are still trying to find consistency in their performances but yesterday I thought Cody Leggett had a very good game, probably his best game for the club to date. Jared Bell despite his young age has IMO been in our top 5-6 players all season. Have been impressed with the work rate of Rowan Brookes and Mitchell Browne continues to show signs of improvement.

Yes we may be bottom but there are small aspects of the last month of football that I think we can be pleased about and if we continue to improve I think we can win some games in the second half of the season.

Absolutely agree Mr AFL. I could see a massive improvement in the Perth team from when Swans played you in round 1. You could have easily won that game a week ago at Bassendean. Spaldings message appears to be getting through and the young players such as Bell are backing themselves and have a lot more confidence. Perth will cause some upsets before the season is out and have a say in the make up of the top 5.

1-9 at the half way point. Glad to see there are some positives. Grass is greener, canteen has cheapest hot chips and the beer is the coldest at LP. If only clubs were not measured on wins and losses!

Not a bad effort by Perth , thought you blokes would finish the stronger with SFFC feeling the pinch after a hard derby, but was very happy to see our blokes power away.

Not really sure were Perth is at TBH.
