Was it player voted or Management picked? Does anyone know.

I heard he was missing quite a few games due to injury but looked very fit on friday night running laps and doing small drills- though slightly worrisome for me - a little too large in the upper body. People will understand that concern if they have noticed adjustment times required when players suddenly become bigger in one half of the body.

The example i would use is Chris Tarrant and his big arms. It took him 2 years to get use to them.

To me Dene looked the same size as last year. He should be touch and go for round one but I think later results proved better than the earlier diagnosis. At latest at this stage I would say he would be back by round 3 or 4.

E.g. Tendai, dene White.
Different levels I know but hard work gets it reward.

Think he first played for Perth in 2009? Obviously has come up through the ranks. Seems to be a good choice there.

Yep DF. Too few in recent years.
Far too many have jumped ship when it got too hard. In some cases not always entirely the players' doing but rather a lack of good man management. I hope that we have now addressed that problem.
A good reward for Dene for his hard work and loyalty.
