Anyway, not a very good position to be in. Eyres wiil try hard, Power I expect will step up from promising performances last year. He can play and must improve.
After that there is an excellent opportunity for a big tall kid to show what he has got. Who will it be?
Rose? 19 and 198 still growing. Has shown some ability. I think he can play but still very young.
We do have several kids 195 plus. A wonderful opportunity for them to want to get in at the top while we are lacking. But who will it be?
But let's not get carried away. It will take time before someone emerges from the pack
DF, perhaps it will be your boy who is working on beating you over 30 metres.

I have heard that Jesse Rose is not playing footy this year.
It would have been an opportunity for him to possibly even play league with the way our rucks are looking.

Preseason Training Update From Tyson Beattie

The Post-Christmas return has seen another big surge in improvement for the Perth Football Club as the squad prepares for the 2015 season. There has been excellent numbers on the track and big gains in conditioning levels with improvements seen in a majority of the team’s three kilometre time trials.

The addition of three outstanding recruits from Peel has been a major boost for the squad. Toby Giannati has shown his strength and endurance already throughout preseason and will be an excellent addition to the backline. Liam Mckenna has settled quickly and is already impressing with his foot skills and decision making in training drills. Kelvin Lawrence, the former Melbourne listed speedster has demonstrated his lightening pace and silky skills and will provide another damaging weapon in the forward line.

Former Swan Districts premiership player Brett Wolfenden has also been outstanding and has hardly missed a session. Returning veterans Chance Bateman and Mitch Morton have shown excellent leadership and are set for big years. Another leader who has been brilliant is Chris Billings who has committed to the club by signing another contract, along with former Port Adelaide listed local product Jarrad Irons.

The coaches have been pleased with the gains in fitness led by strength and conditioning coach Frank Rodriguez and are excited to implement the game plan which will lead us to success this season.

Can you advise of Hodge's progress. Is he involved in full training or will he be on the sidelines for a while yet.

From what I saw of Hodge he was participating in training and contact drills. Wasn't wearing an arm guard. I'm no doctor but I'd say that's a good thing. We really missed him in 2014.

He was wearing an arm guard at training tonight.

Also Michael Florio was out there tonight. Apparently he is playing this season.

Dene White out for 6 weeks apparently.

This is bad news. Without White and Hodge we might struggle to get hold of the ball often enough to win games. Our midfield is the strongest part of the team, but that's based on White and Hodge being in the thick of it. Hopefully, the doom has been overplayed.

Bad news about White. Lets hope it is only six weeks or less. There are six weeks to round one so with any luck he might not miss a game.

Also looks like we are trying to get Tyler Keitel across to Lathlain from East Perth.

Good news about Michael Florio. We all know his weaknesses but you would still rather have him at the club than not. Lets hope Earl can put a bit of mongrel into him.
