His issues haven't appeared to be too much of a concern over the last 3-4 seasons. Played great football and would be a great capture for the club.

30k for a player that has performed like he has in the WAFL over his career is not much. Also taking into account that there would be no relocation costs etc....

$30k is cheap compared to the $30k West Perth asked for an uncontracted reserves player last year.

Good luck to any team that gets him.... West Perth will get some good coin for Kep, lets hope they don't waste it on trying to get someone like George.

Under normal circumstances if an uncontracted returnee from the AFL signs with another WAFL club it's a $20k top Smoke
However if a contracted player decides to switch WAFL clubs then the club that has his signature & binding contract can ask whatever they please

I see what you're saying mate BUT in this case he is a contracted player & Subiaco can sell him to any customer they so desire , it's that simple

He can still refuse to join said club or price himself out of contract reach.

Walk away and Subi get nothing?

No mate - a rival club can pay his contract out for Subi as well as the clearance fee - then he becomes the property of the new club for the remaining portion of his contract (one year I believe)
Then George can choose a club BUT the clearance wrangle starts all over again - kapiche?

Your other question - George can walk away for the last year of his contract but I doubt Subiaco will want to lose out on 10k plus so they'll sell him asap mate
