So the fall out from that debacle of a football game against the .......... has continued with the coach being sanctioned for comments made in mondays rag! Not sure what paper the WAFL was reading but does stating the bleeding obvious always induce a penalty or fine? Probably fair enough on marty storming into the middle at 3 quarter time but the coaches comments in the paper?

Farcical isn't it? Made even more absurd by the fact two of the three umps have been dropped this weekend! So everyone recognises they did a shit job, including their superiors, but don't dare say it. The WAFC must be run by North Koreans. Williams comments were harmless. I would have been pissed off if he didn't say something! That pathetic display of petulance by the umpires needed to be called for what it was.

What hope has this comp got when arse-faced clowns like Sinclair are allowed to have positions of influence.

Fucken joke, they've admitted the umpiring was substandard but fine the club for speaking up about it. Where do you draw the line?

Its the classic example of all care and no responsibility the way umpires are treated in our game. They get paid good money each weekend to umpire, yet they cant be spoken to on match day, they cant be approached during or after the game for a discussion, and heaven forbid someone makes a comment about their poor performances......

The umpires of our game need to harden up, the game isn't about them its about the players, If they are not thick skinned enough to be told where they went wrong then they really don't deserve to be taking the money out of our game that they get paid each weekend. No one gets fined for that if a player gets upset at comments about his performance

Regardless of the job done in this game, the laws have been set about commenting, so if they choose to let people spew forth be it right or wrong then whats the point of laws, if they don't take any action.

Umpiring dept should be more transparent, and come out with details on why umpires were dropped. Williams comments were petty in my opinion, take it up with the Department not make childish assertions in the press.
