We are a long way off being the EP powerhouse team Micale had in the early 2000's we are probably not even as good as the teams he had in his second stint at EP which were ok but far from being great.

Happy that we won an much needed might I add. But our conversion rate in front of goal is atrocious.

Listened to the game on Country digital. Sounds like our skills and ball use and endeavour was better than Peels. As you say Mr AFL, poor conversion rate. We were pretty goodin the early games fr om memory against Claremont and Souths

Horrible game of football. Thank god we got the points despite woeful conversion. Strange that only 3 goals were kicked towards the shopping centre end. I think the tight matching up on them man on man really seemed to stymie their ability to get players free and run the ball. Made Peel move the ball at a pedestrian pace. Both teams just bombed it into their forward lines. We were lucky a few more came off.

I can see why Peel are crap. You've got 16 blokes basically playing for themselves. Sitting down on the fence line you could hear them going off at one another when they didn't get the pass. Endless "kick it to me, kick to me" then a dummy spit. Half of them didn't look interested.

Hilarious to see a couple of local bogans decked out in Thunder gear and then the rest of the crowd in Dockers gear. Farkn pathetic.

What was the story with virtually no scores at 1 end? Was it blowing hard to the other end?

Fremantle can cobble a deal to put a legitimate reserves side in the comp

No real justification for it that I could tell. Very light breeze. Just one of those things.

I tell you. I have never seen a more interested footballer than Jarred Morton. So intense out there. I love it. Great game from the Dee's excepting third quarter. Fantastic lift from Manual, better from Lesson. Like Boyle a lot but not too many touches today.

Stacky has to make a harder tackle. Probably worth another week though.

Can't comment too much on Billings. I can say I didn't see him do much wrong and will be better for the run as Eyes was. Fantastic mark and goal.

Not many stats for Irons but did see two very good spoils.
