Good to get an update from the Club, although it didn't really say much except that Andrew Ruck has joined the coaching staff. Pity it is not playing.

Got an update of my own though.

Usual optimism, the players are training well and fitness is more advanced than last year.

Also heard the Club is still looking for 2 further recruits, just waiting on the rookie draft.

So by Thursday/Friday next week we should be able to announce these recruits. Would they have signed a contract or negotiated a contract and said all this depends on whether or not I get picked up?

I heard last month that Pickers is not at the club any more? Can any one confirm?

Mr AFL, was told on the weekend he's back at EP coaching the ressies.

Heard good and bad things about his coaching ability but all the best. Of course when he's not coaching against Perth though haha

I thought that might be the case (he's gone from Perth) because I heard we had lost an assistant prior to Broadbridge being appointed at Claremont.

Also great news because I would suggest we may retain Ali although haven't heard he is gone anyway.

Makes you wonder about the advice we got from the coaching group that we have to keep the coaching group together.

Hence no advertisement for the head coaching position?????

Two of them have left and only 1 came on board in Andrew Ruck.

So out of the main group we had last year in McMahon, Pickering, Williams, Broadbridge, Saunders and excluded the other staff who help out on match day that's over half the main coaching group gone from 2013.

surely Ruck will don the boots again?.....

Isn't there a new colts coach as well? Any of you blokes know who it is?

Hooray, a feral returns home, but he may not recognise it. I reckon that would be about the hardest job in the WAFL next year, coaching the EP reserves. A team of back biting unhappy EP ex league players.
