Hot off the press from a North Adelaide colleague of mine.

There is an ex Port Adelaide tall forward currently with North Adelaide described as "the contested mark" rumoured to be in talks with PFC. My man suggests probably need to work on his goal kicking, but sounds like just the prospect we need.

Described as Forward/Ruckman, Has Daniel Stewart been delisted?

Yes, recently delisted by Port.

Played 49 AFL games, 200cm 92kg.

Sounds ok.
Hopefully if we recruit him its as a key Forward with the odd run on the ball and not 50/50 forward/ruck!

Hopefully a Merking Target is the same as a Marking target

At 24 years of age, Stewart has been on Port Adelaide’s list for a number of years and entered the team with much promise on debut in 2010. Capable of playing as a tall forward or in the ruck, he remains a valuable option for the Power around the ground.

Background Stewart came to the Power with pick 35 in the 2009 Rookie Draft and was elevated to the senior list that same year from SANFL club North Adelaide.

Pleasing to see that we are active on the recruiting front.
IMO this guy would be a good fit for us and fill one of the deficiencies that we have.
If Reimers is gone as alluded to by others that frees up another 11 points.
It is interesting that there are links with North Adelaide thru Andrew Jarman and Damon White.
One would think that this guy might put himself in the draft and have another crack at AFL.

Here's hoping that your mate is talking the truth DF. If not then hopefully the club can land a tall key forward in the offseason.

No reason not to believe him he is pretty close to North.

All he said was that we were in talks with him.

Have no doubt that Daniel Stewart would be having talks with several SANFL,VFL, WAFL and AFL clubs.
He may well be a long shot to join Perth but at least we are out there being pro- active and targeting our deficiencies.
