Peter Faulks has been delisted by Fremantle. Would you want him at the Demons in 2014?

No not really,he would be a high valued points player and lets face it he hasnt exactly set the world on fire in his time at Peel.....Pass!

We need to identify our urgent needs and recruit to those needs.
High point recruits need to have a track record, can play league and have an impact and not sit languishing in the ressies.

30+, I don't think Faulks would sit in Perth's reserves......christ if Billings is a shoe in to Perth's defence if he returns, I reckon Faulks has better credentials than Billings. Surely someone like Faulks would head home to Victoria.....plenty of VFL clubs with good coin would be interested in the guy.

From a tall man perspective Perth have lost McInness, Tunbridge and Colledge of late.....reckon the best of the lot will go this year in Garstone.....is there any hope Busher's body will hold up and even if it does will it prevent him from reaching the potential you boys at Perth think he has......not too sure on Houghton, has been around for a while now with little impact......surely Joel must be on his last chance with you Perth boys?

I hear Moreno is one for the future.....kicked goals and made the colts team of the year at FF.....is he draft age this year or next.....if the latter he is one youngster I'd be blooding in the league side next year, you really got to use these kids while you have them, no point letting him develop in the reserves because of his age, only for an AFL side to draft him the next year when he is draft age.

Freeze you know as well as i that Faulkes is not worth 10/11 points regardless if he plays league.

Yep Busher is injury prone and no gaurentees that his body will stand up for 20 weeks.
We definately need to recruit 2 tall KPP's,1 key forward(regardless of Busher's fitness) and 1 KP down back.
The Eagles havent delisted any players yet so 1 or more of those players from McIness,Tunbridge and Colledge may stay??
I think Houghton is as good as he's going to get which is not good news,of course there is hope that he is a late late bloomer.

It would be good if our club adopted a policy of "if your a gun at colts level we'll promote and give you a run in the league team"....but they don't!
Our club for whatever reason has a reluctance to promote colts kids into the league team once the year starts so hopefully the start of a new footy year we will get to see some of these kids in the league team that we dont see but do hear about!

didn't realise Moreno was an over age colt this year.....thus next year he turns 20 mid season.....thus no excuses for Perth playing the guy up front next year......

Perth already have a couple of 10 pointers on their list, so I guess they will have to be choosey.....Bevan, Kane, Risol, Morton and Reimers.....Sketcher is gone isn't he....that's a hell of a lot of 10 pointers on one list......bit of talk Mitch Morton may be coming.....he will be worth 12......not too sure where the likes of Smith and Johnson are gonna fit in.......

I'm pretty sure that under the new alignment next season the 7 wafl clubs not aligned get more points to recruit ie.the total of 130 gets increased to whatever it is ????
So clubs can afford extra players at high points value, yes Sketcher is gone plus we have ?? over Reimers and what hes doing,Kane i thnk someone on here posted his points are reduced as of next season to 5 i think it is after so many years at the club so i cant see a problem with 2 or 3 or hopefully more 10 pointers coming on board next season.

Smith and Johnson...dreaming but you certainly would make room for those 2 to fit in dont worry about that!

The points system is at 120. From what I have heard around the traps, Jackson Sketcher is off and Nick Kane's points go from 10 to 5 and Julian Jacobs points go from 2 to 1. That frees up 16 points.

Josh Stark is a 5 point player and the club has to ask if he that 5 points could be spent better on an area that needs strengthening and his Josh's position in the side could be taken by a younger 1 point player.

If like you say 30 plus the points go up in 2014 for the non aligned 7 clubs, you would think that it would be an increase of 10 points, then that leaves us with 31 points should all the above happen.

I believe that with some smart recruiting we can make great use of those 31 points.

Hypothetically and in lines of what people have said above in regards to experience not only in the WAFL but elsewhere here is a list just to show how the points could be used for maximum benefit.

Josh Smith (10 points)

Kyle Anderson (7 points)

Aaron Sweet (7 points)

Fred Clutterbuck (7 points)

OR

Tim Geappen (10 points)

Paul Bower (10 points)

Frank Stockley (5 points)

Ryan Lester-Smith (3 points)

Anyway I'm sure you all get the drift haha

Pretty sure that if Julian Jacobs Points is getting halved then Matt Tedesco's would go from 5 to either 3 or 2. Either way frees up more points.

What ive heard is Bevan will probably stay, Ali Smith will stay dependant on coach.

When I read speculation that blokes like Matt Tedesco are thinking of leaving it tells me things are crook at Lathlain. He'll finish in our top 5 for the Butcher. He came from WP to play footy with us and now he wants to leave?? Just doesn't make sense if things are all chipper out there.

The club has to do the right thing, follow the right process, be transparent and advertise the coaching position.

Ha!!
The club has already very quietly given him another 2 year extension...havent they??
Based on 6th,8th and 6th finishings in his 3 years to date.
Not bad hey...imagine if he gets us to 4th spot..the job will be his for a lifetime!!
Is the assistant coach vacancy Pickerings job??
If so does that mean Ali Smith stays??
Pickering probably thought he was the next senior coach in waiting and thought hed be in his 60's by the time McMahon was out of the job.

Someone said Pickering for the Claremont job. I hope so.
He couldn't have gone back to his old club. They will have enough WCE assistant coaches as it is.
