No offence to anybody but I think Perth are gone. East Fremantle should join Cl, WP and Swans in the top 4. Although they do have 3 tough rounds to encounter.

Yep EP are tied into 3rd mate so either Swans or EF. Perth have a chance but shit it will have to be a Big turnaround to beat CLA

I thought that the Demons played bloody good football but lost 2 players in the second half and that had a big impact on their ability to run out the game.

Eyres was great in the ruck but against two from EP had a uphill battle, Morton, irons and Hodge all played well as did Stack, UR backline just needed another big body.

I reckon the first half was as good as I have seen for a while and the second the EP team just wore you down.

With some of the players that will be available next year then I think that u have a good chance of being top 4.

If I was after player I would go after Selwood!

I feel you blokes need to calm down. You don't go and pull the trigger on a change of culture 1 year in, it is going to take a couple of year to really eradicate all of the bad figjams. When the spot light is on the figjam they tend to keep a low profile till your guard has dropped and then they reappear. So let's all sit back and let the coach do his job without the constant sniping, after all what is another year in the scheme of things ( 36 years, 36 years, 36 years )
All I am saying is give the bloke a friggin chance

I was a bit surprised by the quality of the Demons play in the first half. I knew their forward line was potent but their set up was first class. They ran out of legs which can happen when you go full bore from the first bounce. Bateman and Reimers looked to battle with injury or fitness which helped us greatly.

I see Bevan is in the centre line on the teams. Is that right?

Looking forward to a good game of footy.. Early goals count in the these wet conditions so Perth have got to come out firing.
They did last week v WP and pretty sure in front at 1st qtr dont know what happened after that? Fell in a hole.

Leading Goal Kickers
52 Josh Smith (EP)
49 Paul Bevan (P)

44 Tim Geappen (SD)

I agree, I think Perth's season has been good. It's just unfortunate they've fallen away at the pointy end of the season. That is 3 losses, one yesterday, from round 21, a loss in round 20 and the bye in round 19. Games that needed to be won. Calling for the coach to go and making big changes is a bit premature I think. Perth have played some great footy this year. Injuries do have an affect on any club but I think Perth have the nucleus of a good team there.

I didn't mention Moody and Jacobs in my post yesterday.

Retain both. Keep this team and coaching staff together and we will get somewhere.

All good teams have continuity with both.

Hey I would have been nice to kick 3 or 4 of those five sitters we missed from about 5 minutes before half time.

Keep on Trucking
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Great post TFAF, I could not agree more. I would hate to see the club make rash decisions because of a few bad games. Cultural changes will take time so lets sit tight and let the people in charge get the job done

Yeah only someone like time for a flog would endorse this coach after three years of failure.

The PFC cannot possibly give McMahon another contract extension.
3 YEARS = 6TH,8TH and more than likely another 6TH finish this season.

His game plan has not worked for 3 years...time to move him on.

Time next season to inject class and pace into the midfield.
Get some quality, experienced talls into the forward line.
work out what is our best ruck combo going forward and if it lacks then recruit.
Make sure we hang onto Morton, you can tell he didnt come through our system,he is a must re-sign.

Hey PN...as TFAF says....keep on trucking...lol
