Big game bloody hell..............Seasons on the line / Our best side not sorted with players coming in and out!

Todays paper has lestersmith, Hadley, Bayliss, and Macdougall all reporting injuries from the weekend's game. Our boys have had the week off and should be raring to go. First time this year we have a full side to choose from with next to no injuries!

We have some unfinished business with EF after that unbelievable loss earlier this year. Don't worry EF will reckon they can do it again but if we play our best side we should do it!

For me a win will put us back in 3rd spot and if EP get done we have a real opportunity to make it with Swans having the week off!

For me the difference in this game earlier this year was big Dan Murray who kicked 4 for us resting forward. We need to get some height forward during the game because I think clubs have really worked out how to nullify stack.

Loose and its pretty much goodnight Irene.

I think we will win and give us a chance at knocking off WP who have proved last few weeks they are beatable!

This game has a lot riding on it for both teams and I will be eager to see who runs out on Saturday afternoon.

Perth have 5-6 players playing reserves that have all played league football at some stage this season. All have had good form over the last 2-3 weeks as well. How many of these come back in to the side and who goes out. Would like to see Leyendekkers hold his spot in the side as I reckon he played well as the back up option to Eyres against Peel and as has been pointed out, we need someone that can perform to a certain standard in the ruck and play elsewhere around the ground.

Our young players this year have stood up and played some good consistent football at times in the league team. Dropping some of them would be harsh IMO. If they are playing well then they deserve to keep there spot even if they are keeping an Ali Smith, Kyle Reimers out of the team.

East Fremantle's selections could also be interesting. As you said Lucifer, Lester-Smith, Hadley, Bayliss and MacDougall all seem to be suffering some injuries or general soreness if you are to believe what is reported in the paper.

With the Sharks playing in the Foxtel Cup GF on the 6th of August and the game being in Adelaide, what do they do. They need the win to keep in touch with the Top 4 but 100K for a WAFL club is also nice as well.

Looking forward to this game and hope the Demons can get the win to keep their own finals aspirations intact.

i feel if perth drop this one, they may fall short of the finals.

must win game at a tough venue. need to bring their "a" game.

i think butler and maybe smith could return to the demons. on the flip side shepherd could be elevated to the eagles list at easts expense.

I don't think Butler will get dropped and we would prefer Ash Smith didn't.

Agree re Ash Smith and Butler DF.

Very difficult to mess with the winning team that Perth have been the last two weeks.

I guess Cam Manuel and Hunt (can't remember if he played against Peel) and Sinclair would be the only ones to come under review. NOT saying any of these three played bad games and in fact think it would be worth while continuing to develop all of them but I just think the rest of the squad is safe atm.

If Butler is to come out of the winning team. I would suggest sending Sketcher back to cover him and replacing Sketcher in the middle with Ali Smith or Hug or Richardson or Reimers or Irons.

Maybe Houghton with Butler also.

I don't know just thoughts.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

interesting to read some Perth folk talking about the likes of Butler and Smith dropping back to play.......perhaps EF folk will be crossing their fingers for Dalziell, Brown and Kerr to play v Perth then?....Glass needs to come back for WCE doesn't he and Brown may be one tall defender too many?....Kerr seems out of favour at WCE and his knee looks like only worthy for 30 possessions in the WAFL not the AFL.....whilst Dalziell is a recognised inner and outer at WCE.....Rosa, McGinnity and A.Selwood to come back.....the latter two to watch the likes of Ablett and O'Meara perhaps.....

Lots of ifs and buts.....quite pleased Murray won't be there for Perth....it was his height up front which worried EF last time....smaller forwards will suit the likes of Stephens, Howlett and Dodd....it's the really tall ones which will expose EF lack of height up back.....though McInness kicked a few early ones from memory.....

Winning against the 8th and 9th placed teams recently is far different than going down to Moss st and beating an opposition at a ground where we historically struggle at against a mob desperate to win to keep there finals hopes alive.

I reckon we need to go into this game with as much experience as possible and if that means promoting Reimers at the expence of 1 of the younger guys so be it.

Lucifer i dont know what height we can move forward during the game other than the resting ruckman we probably will need what other talls we have down back,is Lyyendecks and Eyres going to hit the scoreboard with a reasonable tally..i doubt it.

We need McInnes to put in a really good one at CHF and our midfield to get on top...thtas where the key to this game is as well as the obvious..dont get sucked in like many previous Perth teams and getting stuck out wide on this ground...its a tiring ploy and a long long way from goals.
This is one match that we need some forwards to stay home and not get sucked in up the ground.

McMahon will need to bring his "A" grade game plan(hopefully he has one) to Moss street.

Both Ali Smith & Reimers named in the league team and neither of them named in reserves list so expect them to play.

Leyendekkers retained to provide backup for Eyres.

All in all a fairly strong side and I expect a good showing even at EF oval.

Win, a step towards a finals berth.

Should be incentive enough, can't wait.

Go DEES!!!!!!!
