Yep 61 in the Ressies did look good as did, Deaves, Donnovan, Lesson, Hug, Stuart, Richardson and Araglio.

Reimers on song in the league today. Liked McInnes and Florio's last quarter (I thought Flozz really came home well after a 'nervous' looking first half). In fact everyones last quarter was great.

How about Bevan's mark in the third and Whites snap on goal in the last.

McGumbla threatened to tear us apart again. I thought Risol returned to form when he moved onto him. Sinclair getting some real good football lessons (Garlet and McGumbla)both his opponents recently and although he didn't win either battle hopefully he has learned from both occasions.

Obviously wasteful.

Missed Ali Smith - cork and sore ribs.

Number 29 Michael (forget surname) excellent.

Have heard that South have been difficult to put away all year. Next week will let us know where we are at. Swans away always a challenge.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Good start to the day, now come on the ressies!!!

Go DEES!!!!

if you can class the likes of Pickett, Main, Sokol, McCarthy and Johnson as outs DF...I think one would say those 5 boys would better that SF side by about 15 goals!..

TBH I take my hat off to Perth's colts for taking full advantage of the State U/18 carnival......normality will resume soon.....when it does it will be interesting to see if Perth's colts winning form is actually what it is .....or simply because they only had one guy missing on state duties in Clem Smith....compared to other sides who had a few more.....EF colts have gone 1/4 during the carnival.....I guess the likes of having 5 top guys out isn't helping.....though you can beat what is put in front of you I guess.....and that's what Perths colts have done.....touch wood for the colts comp they can to liven up the finals race from being a 4 horse race to a 5 horse race.

You can only beat the side that is on the park against you Freezin.
No-one doubts that South were weakened by their U/18 outs.

smokester......DF said SF may have had a few outs......didn't say SF had a few outs....big difference don't you think?.....anyway I'm looking forward to Perths colts continuing on their winning ways once all the state boys come back.....Clem Smith seems like a good un though.....surely an A/A rep.

Gee I reckon we were lucky to pinch the points there on Saturday. South's game plan of getting lots of numbers back behind the ball and launching through the middle of the ground with terrific run off half back tested our fellas and it was only when fatigue set in and South's run slowed that we were able to skip away. There's another mob that plays that way against us and has gone alright running through the corridor at will and that's Swans and I reckon this week's game at Basso is a season definer. We cannot afford to let blokes like Tom Roach notch up 30+ touches running off half back under no pressure...again

Need to improve the delivery into the forward line to be competitive this week. How often was the ball kicked over blokes heads or forwards run under the ball on Saturday? They've just dropped off a bit in the last few weeks from the sharp skills they were showing earlier in the season.

Thats where a "plan B" is needed by the coaching staff.
The fast break when all were up the ground cost us goals and the game not long ago V Swans and i will be curious to se how McMahon combats this strategy this weekend in what shapes as one of our most important games for this club in the last decade or so,win this and we put a healthy 2 game break on 5th place!!

Going forward i reckon 2 possies that we could be found wanting in when we play the top 3 teams are another genuine tall key forward,if McIness has a bad day we dont have many other genuine tall KP options and that "lead" ruckman to help Eyers out.
I dont think Morton covers any of theses, does he??

Bush is the other tall forward.

Leyendeckers is the help for Eyers. Yes I know he has been playing ressies and is as thin as a Stork but he is up to it very soon I think.

Btw hats off to Eyers on his efforts all by him self of late. Tighe won the hitouts but Eyers has definitely been tireless. Did anyone else see him steady after a mark at about the 30 minute mark of the last quarter. Learning all the time.

Who was laughing at me for my repeated questions about Houghton. Thought he did well on Sat. I am not saying he is an out and out champion but has height and pace and room to improve. Trust he will. Lets not forget he could be a back man as well - been playing there all year in the Ressies.

Interesting now we have him, Florio and Morton all around 191 cm all a bit on the thin side. As long as they attack the ball like Florio did in the last quarter on Saturday all good. They must make their presence noted despite their slim build.

Didn't realise Teddy did so well on Sat. He often looks completely out of breath which I think he should disguise better from the opposition. But gee he is a great reader of where the ball is going to land.

Another mention for Bev's mark in the third.

I noticed that Edwards and Manuel didn't play ressies on saturday. I hope they haven't left the club before the June 30 deadline.
