If Simpson can have a full preseason then I’d back him in. The little bits he’s played this year I’ve liked what he’s done and provides a good link between the midfield and forward lines. 

Simpson is a class player and if he's fit, will make a big difference. Likewise if Dellamarta can ever get himself on the park, he would be in our best 22. However, as I said, our problem remains that we cannot fill our gaps from within, no matter how much players might improve. 

Successful clubs have great depth and achieve success in all grades. Yet people on this forum seem to want to get rid of anyone who’s not an A grade champion. 

CM there are a lot of list cloggers on our list.
We are notorious for it.
You don't develop your younger players by clogging up the pathway.
IMHO Peter German is on the right track.
He has given a number of players the chance to develop.
We will see the benefit of that in the next year or two.

I agree Ted, Simpson is a class player.
Hopefully a full pre-season will put him on the park more next year.

Team lists have been trimmed. We have Moore, Gray, Stubbs and Ewing on the bench, so good luck to Moore and Ewing in their first game for the club. WCER still haven't named Gaff or Sheed, but the rules around publishing team selection don't seem to apply to them. 

 

Great to see Jake Watson and Cooper Moore debuting.
These guys are the future.
