Crikey! First game I’ve missed in ages. Maybe I should miss more. Looking forward to watching the replay.

Yep they surprised me today glad I went in the end. With a little better skill execution we win that game which is worrying signs for Bill Monaghan.

Best game so far from Josh Edwards against one of the best ruckmen in the comp. Aussie, Burner and Chuck were outstanding. Nice debut by Wills show's he belongs at that level. Unfortunately there are a few that don't and that's our problem we don't have much depth.

Daniel Hill was out with illness but did a bit of running in the two's. Should be right to go next week. He walks in.

Oh and of course Stubba deserves a mention. His best game of the season by far, maybe in a couple of years. Wasn't great for most of the game but came good late.

Some incredible stats to come out of this game. We I think dominated the centre clearances in the last qtr which is something we rarely do and to do it against the reigning premier is quite an achievement.

We dominated the inside 50's 56 to 41 so we obviously couldn't capitalise on that dominance and EF dominated the rebound 50's 46 to 28. We would be No1 in the comp for coughing up goals from rebound 50's and hair raising mistakes.

German will take a lot of satisfaction from winning clearances, something he values highly but geez we need to find a way to capitalise on it and stop turning the fkn ball over with poor skill errors and decision making.

Clearances, that surprises me.
I was getting frustrated with Janssen, he seemed to me to be dominating the clearances.
He looked dangerous going long and direct.
For me, that was a performance above my expectations.
In the end probably should have won the game.
Without being too critical of HQ, it would be nice if he kicked them from 30 out directly in front instead of missing them.
Should have ended up with 2 or 3 more.
A good game from Stubbs but he does need to get rid of flashy.
We do need to get rid of the fumbles, bad decisions and clean up our disposal a bit.
Considering the A1 players that are out and our usual need for them to play I am happy with the fact that some youngsters are getting good game time.
And I can see some development.
I may be wrong but IMHO Davis has become a very important player for us.
His run is first rate and his disposal has improved out of sight.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.
Winning isn't everything. It's the ONLY THING !!!!!!
I shot the fukin sherriff!!!!

Great effort yesterday and we could have, and perhaps should have won. A few passengers who struggled to make any impact in the game didn’t help, but overall we kept the pressure on EF all day and at times made them look ordinary. Byrne was BOG and Stubbs superb. He almost won us the game. If only he can now maintain that form for the rest of the season. Taylor, Thompson and Edwards all played well. EF received a couple of dodgy decisions right in front of goal but we move on. A big challenge against WCE next Sunday.

Just watched the replay. I’m certainly not as downcast and disappointed as I was a few days ago. Play with that sort of confidence and determination AND learn to kick goals from inside 50m and wins will start to come. A hard fought, entertaining game.
