Not sure if it’s Mach Deng, be good if it was because he had some talent but was injury prone. Last saw him playing for Kingsway. This lad may be slightly less built than Mach.

Deng Yong is his name. He’s 23 this year and from Canberra originally by the looks

Can’t find much at all about him other than he was part of the Crows Next Gen Academy as a teenager, then was in u18s at Norwood then ressies at Central Districts (SANFL). Can’t find any record of playing or stats (or his height) but the good news is he’s in the list and we should hopefully see more of him in the preseason hitouts

Finally a president with the confidence and aplomb to say it how it is. He also has the clout to make change happen.

Barich is certainly realistic about where we are at going into this season. No effort to talk up our immediate prospects, or to trot out platitudes that we are aiming for finals. Good on him for pointing out the zone problem. However much some posters on this site want to believe that all clubs start from the same position, our only chance of long term improvement lies in better zones. Otherwise, as Barich said, we have to look for recruits here, there and everywhere, which costs money.
