Freezin, it’s only DD who is as keen as mustard for WCE to take over. The rest of us want to keep control of our club.

Is that what they say in your little closed knitting group Cesspit? That’s not the vibe I get. When you are emotional  you tend not to think rationally.

Sweet is a  SA boy DD from memory, if. Latham gets moved on, then there is talk Sweet could head home to Port.....lots of ifs and buts, but  it does sound like a few Perth boys on here are keen as mustard to get a  firm grip on  WCE apron strings in regards to playing  perks.....looks like that 2021 flag winning team could be decimated with players moving on to seek better playing opportunities else where.... especially if  WCE do take Perth under their wing......
Well Freezin under the old model that the flat earthers say they will accept where players drop back to their original WAFL club and the interstaters get raffled out to the bottom 4 teams, we would still end up with up to 4 or 5 Eagles players anyway, but it will be chook lotto as opposed to being able to pick the ones we want and need.

So the effect would be the same, maybe a few other clubs circling a few players who are on the fringe. And some of the harshest critics of our club always say our fringe players wouldn’t make the cut in most other clubs reserves. So no big loss.

One poster constantly has a shopping list of 4 or 5 top shelf recruits. Key backman, key forward, pacy mid, inside mid, small fwd and genuine ruckman who take marks around the ground and go forward and kick goals. Not a bad list if you can get it in reality only Subiaco could pull that off.

But wouldn’t that have the same effect if we went out and recruited 4 or 5 top liners? It’s going to squeeze out and relegate 4 or 5 to reserves status.

The difference is we don’t have to recruit them, help set them up and pay top dollar. No brainer.

If it did come about it will be interesting to see how it works. Will it just be WCE's interstate recruits sent to Perth? I'd be really pissed off if it was the local boys as well as apparently they've shown some interest in Greg Clark meaning he could be suiting up for Perth next year.
Fear not BC, ex WAFL players will drop back to their WAFL club.

No I’m no good at knitting DD. Surely emotion is a key in a football club. If clubs were all run by accountants it would be pretty boring. You need a cross section of people involved. I hear what you’re saying but the whole fabric of our club could change if we allow this to happen. What should happen is a reverse allocation of non WA players like they used to have when they won 3 premierships. I know that will never happen because of their stubbornness and control over the WAFC.

DD out of the current West Coast listed players who aren't from WA, who out of these would be a regular player at WAFL level. Gaff, Redden, Brander, Shuey, Duggan, Petruccelle, Witherden, O'Neil, Hurn, Cole, Nelson and Williams

O'Neill played 13, Williams 8, Witherden 7 and Brander 5 were the most.

So DD, do I read you right?
If you were a PFC member you would vote for an alignment with WCE whereby any Eagles draftees from outside WA would play for PFC when not required to play AFL???
Even when you see what happend to the Royals? Sure they ended up with fake flags and money but they lost the respect of the other seven traditional cubs, their own members and WAFL supporters everywhere and it has already taken them years to try and regain what they lost and their place as a proud WAFL club..

Sounds like you have missed my posts on another thread Smokey where I stated there will be NO ALIGNMENT but there could be an arrangement where we agree to take a maximum of 5 or 6 players. That’s all, there will not be another 5 or 10 in the reserves. Any surplus Eagles players will either be farmed out to other WAFL clubs or amateur clubs.

Talk of an alignment is hyperbole. So the answer to your question is No, you didn’t read me right. I will be voting Yes for the model explained to me on Saturday.

Do you blokes realize in previous Docker and Eagle fringe player allocations, most clubs had 2 to 3 listed players playing on a weekly basis, and in our '96 grand final side,we had 1 Docker and 3 eagles, and no one battered an eyelid,i think alot of you have got the ''battered wife syndrome''and are gluttons for punishment, and i can understand DD's frustration.
