Drove past today and had a look following a photo put up by Mr AFL the other day showing the frame and mounts. Well it looks complete already and ready to go but there’s something very strange about it which worries me and puzzling. It is in the right spot just to the right of the outer gate if you are looking at it from the grandstand side, but it’s on a strange angle virtually aiming towards the Hungry Jacks and merchandise shop. 

I can only guess it’s either something to do with the angle of the afternoon sun or it’s aimed in that direction so spectators around that end of the ground can all see it, given few spectators can sit or stand around in front of the Eagles premises, but I think it will be hard or impossible for players to see the score from the southern end which would just be ridiculous. The players need to know what the score is. Just looks weird. Usually when you look at a screen be it tv or a computer screen, the quality is severely compromised or impossible from an accute angle.

Perhaps if someone could get off their arse at the club and communicate with the members, they could explain why it has been mounted on a very odd angle.

It's a decent size, plenty of space to display stuff. Does that mean we'll get the race results from Belmont???

That would be a rank outside; Winx odds would be one would see an ad after each goal was scored.

If Nizzy likes a punt while sitting up in the balcony of his palace while watching the girls play he'll be pissed he can't see the race results on the big new screen.

Looks good, puts the postage stamp screen at Leederville to shame, but I guess as long as you can clearly see the scores its doing its job. As for race results surely there's a million phone apps that can show you that rather than cluttering up a scoreboard which is already cluttered with adds at the breaks and after goals. Obviously I'm not that much into the Neddy's and betting thing.

Who would know? Perth supporters certainly don't. Maybe they'll launch it by smashing a champagne bottle against it? Or get someone from the Pig Pen to throw a VB stubbie at it???

Looks great. I'm not sure about race results but it would have the potential to be a new advertising  tool/revenue raiser. 
Perhaps race results are not necessary in this cyber world. Most punters have mobiles to place bets and catch results.

Could it be aligned for the new PFC facilities if and when they ever get built?
