I like Fisher, but he will be 31 next year, so not a huge loss. I'd be surprised if he goes to another WAFL club rather than back to ammos, where he played most his career despite being good enough for WAFL. Likely though to be part of a big exodus. From the list at the start of 21, we have lost Colledge, Rogers, Eyres, Masten, and apparently Loersch and Fisher.

He'll be a borderline league player for C. If they want to give us a transfer fee, or a trade, for a 31 year old, I'm fine with that. They can give us some cash for Richardson and Yeo as well if they want.

DF, we rubbished the Jones rumour years ago. We rubbished the Leggett rumour last year. I'd say it's probably true. I still say it's no big deal. When you see the same players week in, week out, you tend to overrate them, and I think we do that with our list. Look at some of the guys who are regular league players and ask how many games they would have played at S, SF or C. Browne, Cary, Stubbs, Davis, Hill, Coniglio would barely get a look in. Fisher is much the same, he has been good for us, not outstanding, and a good Perth player is a fringe player at Claremont or Subi.

Ted, Fisher started the season with an ? achilles injury and missed quite a few games. When he returned he never seemed fully fit to me and had no big influence in the games he played. Not worth keeping him if he wants to go. Let's get the cash and move on.
You have identified 6 players that we need. I agree, but recruiting will be difficult considering all clubs are looking for the same type of players. We may be lucky if we get 2 from your wishlist and hope we do a proper due diligence on them.
We do not need 30+ yo with wonky knees or hamstrings. We need to reasonably expect to get games out of them.

Heading into 2022 the club needs to address the injury list. It was beyond a joke this year and I know some injuries are impact ones and can't be helped but for us to be competitive and push for finals we need our best players out there on the park more than what a Subiaco, Claremont or South Fremantle do.

Next is to look for a mobile key forward that's capable of kicking 40 plus goals and providing a target and isn't going to break down. While McInnes isn't probably going to kick 40 plus goals a year we structured up a lot better when he was inside the forward 50.

The next priority should be a ruckman that's capable of moving around the ground, takes marks and can hit the scoreboard hopefully at least once a game.

While a midfielder with pace and a key back would be good as well I believe that the first three things are of more importance heading into next year.

There's talk that the points system and points valuation of players will change next year so keep an eye on that.

Also you'd hope that the club has been looking at players from Victoria. With everything that's gone on there over the last 18 months there may be players looking for a change of scenery.

BS. You need to sack your sources. He won't be going anywhere in 2022. Straight from the horses mouth. Was sitting with the rest of the league players wearing a Perth jumper.

Rogers made a comment today that sounds like Richardson is one to retire.

That’s a shame, he’s been playing some great footy albeit mostly in the two’s but i was told he’s had a history of concussion so maybe that incident in pre season has had a role to play. Not a bad way to go out with a premiership and he dragged us into the GF with a kick seconds before the final siren against Claremont.
