Would Morcombe be wise?

5 possessions and 1 goal 1 in a big Ressies win.

Morecombe not even close. McCarthy would need to back it up for at another couple of games. And who do you drop? Let's assume Masten is fit, so he comes straight back in. To me, the only players under any real pressure from last week would be Henderson, Clarke and McPartland. I have already said we need to kick at least 3 more goals than we did against EF - especially with Peel kicking over 20 - but I don't think those two are the answer. I think a forward 6 of Busher, Rogers, Stubbs, Cary, Richo and McP changing with Langlands is as good as we are going to get until McInnes is back. Or unless ET comes out firing in the twos.

I might add that, like we did against EF, the ruckmen can go forward from time to time. I think only for short periods, but if they drift down they can catch the defence out. It was good to see both ruckmen taking marks and having shots on goal deep in the forward line.

You can allow a ruckman to drift down to FF but neither DBW or Eyres will work as permanent forwards. Too easy to run off against good sides.
I reckon the best option might be to give Hayward a run. He tackles and can kick goals going by his stats in the reserves. This is how I’d line up the forward line:
FF Hayward Stubbs Cary
HF Richardson Busher Rogers

This is on the assumption that Masten doesn’t come back in.

There might be some forced changes. The injury list has Sinclair, Clarke and Grey with calf, hip and knee respectively, recorded as "TBA." Obviously we can't afford all of them to miss. If they did, then hopefully Masten would be one replacement. After that I would go with Davis and Jye Clark. Peel may have a few out as well, given that Chapman, Hughes and Mundy were injured for the Dockers, plus Banfield playing for Peel. It also seems the Dockers game is being moved to Brisbane, meaning they will take at least one emergency. Even so, Peel are no pushover. They kicked a huge score against WCE.

When we played Peel in a scratchie down there in March they had 13 Dockers. Surprised to see they still had 11 playing for them in their big win over WC on Sunday. If they line up with the same team they will go in as favourites in my book and be very hard to beat. They only had 5 Dockers when they lost their opening game to EF by 4.8. They have the best percentage in the comp with 2 huge wins over WC by  12.7 and EP by 17.3 and only lost their other game to SF by 3 goals.
