Jye Clark did go off at some stage in the first half with a trainer holding his forearm.
And he was lucky to survive a blatant tunnel charge. Lucky he didn't land on his head or neck.
His landing was sickening to watch.
I am not sure that he can be criticized for his efforts. I thought he did quite well on debut in the first game and yesterday he tried hard and took a couple of heavy knocks. He was certainly no worse than than some of his more experienced teammates.

As I understand it there was no process. Earl said I only want another year and I reckon Mossy would be good. Prez said okay. That was it.

Have I got it wrong? Happy to back down if there was a full advertised selection process.

As for what I don’t like I admit it is way way too early to know anything but I didn’t like game plan without McInnes, failure to tag Fisher, sticking with DBW ( and then rewarding him for yesterday’s performance !!) and lack of trying anything to improve during course of game yesterday.

The coaching panel comes across as inexperienced and lacking in steel and smarts to me. Bunch of nice guys.

Was there something to like?

Like I say there is a bit going wrong at the moment and you can only get away with it if you are competitive. We weren’t yesterday and it pisses me off.
I totally agree with your last comment. Very few came to play yesterday. Only Grey, Nicholas, Edmonds, Taylor and Clarke can hold there heads high IMO

I agree.

I’m sure the gm agrees.

What if the coach doesn’t agree Smoke, what then??

Sorry this kind of thing, having your kid at your club just never works. It is amateur hour stuff. Someone should have said no.
I cannot agree with you on this one STT. There is no evidence of the CEO interfering with the selectors or the coach.
Cannot compare to EFFC where the coach is the father of the player.
While I am at it.... You don't rate Bateman and Armstrong ??? IMO they are the best qualified assistants we have had in recent times.

So a player that has 2 kicks 7 h/b 1 mark gave another 3 frees against whilst rucking was our best player?
Yeah he had 38 hit outs but we got smashed in the middle at clearances, who was he hitting the ball to.
Kasey Nicholas for mine was our best.

We have to play Hunter as our permanent FF,don’t have him going 100 metres up the ground.
Keep him out of the ruck.

Gee our colts got absolutely thrashed
Very demoralising for those boys.
When was the last time a colts team from any club offered up a score line like that?

Where did anyone say DBW was awarded our BEST PLAYER? There are several “best player” awards handed out in the after match by the coaching panel, maybe up to 5 or 6. There were many times where our blokes got our hands on the football at centre clearances and around the ground stoppages but they out hussled us. Not the ruckmans fault but if you take notice DBW’s competitiveness on the ground is very good. Who would you have in his place? Got an opinion on Reid? Are you a fan of Eyres?

DBW looks like a very nice young man.

Which is exactly what we don’t need leading our ruck.

And it is a terrible sign that he got a player award.  It does look like coaches are playing favourites and doubling down.

Th coaching panel, appointed without a process, were deer in the headlights last night. Not one change. Gibba was having a mare and we had no grunt in middle. Throw him into the ruck.

They just stuck with a game plan and a set up that was not working.  The high forward rubbish. Keep it open sure, as we have no target ( why didn’t we recruit some, SD did???) but have someone up there.

Its the lack of recruiting and the process to appoint coach tat worries me.

We has no chance last night with the game plan.

And as for no scoreboard and no clock and no sock there are no excuses.  Like our coach, there was no plan B.

Oh oh and one last thing.

I give it to effc about junior playing at the club. The gm’s son playing at pfc is just as bad. Totally unprofessional. How do you have a tight off field group?? Everyone needs to be pulling in same direction. At selection this week Clark’s name would have to come up, he did nothing. You reckon the gm’s likely reaction not a factor, or will be seen to be a factor. If he is dropped you reckon gm won’t go around saying such and such played worse etc etc.

Its just not good enough. Amateur hour. Seriously.
You’re an idiot. Did you have a problem with Earl and Scott Spalding playing for the Demons when their dad George was President? I’m guessing you were very much a part of a past administration since you spend such a lot of time questioning the present administration. By the way, Benjamin Hancock says hi.

An older wiser head.

Like Kowal, he was good.

If you liked what you saw from the panel yesterday giddy up.

I’m tslking about how they coach not so much about their cv. Games aren’t won on paper bud.
Enlighten us of your observations from the coaching panel yesterday bud. Did you sit next to them in the grandstand, did you dress up in disguise as a trainer so you could get right in and hear everything they said to their groups? Enlighten us Crazy Horse.

Say to their groups? Crikey what decade are you living in?

Anyway I’ve had my say above on some of the moves that I think could have been made.

If you’re a fan of them, you’re a fan. Good on you. Me I didn’t like much of what I saw yesterday re selection, planning, set up, game plan and reactivity.

I hope they improve and in a hurry. I want to be competitive every week, that’s all. Bit worried.
You’re a nut case.

Gotta say, being called names by you makes me a bit happy.
When you say absolutely stupid things, it needs to called out for what is. Make your bed, lay in it.

Busher officially a Perth player again. Starts training today.
The big question is where will he play CHB or CHF.
