DBW got a best player award tonight.
I must be living in an alternative dimension. This smacks of the coach defending his decision to not play Eyres. I am starting to get worried about this season.

Well deserved against the best ruckman in the WAFL winning the hit outs 35 to 28 and I thought nullified Gault's influence. If Eyres is to play next week it absolutely has to be at the expense of Jordan Reid. Sorry but anyone who rates this guy as a footballer. Two weeks into the season DBW has come up against Nathan Vardy and Corey Gault and I think he can hold his head high. His follow up work is very good if you bother to take any notice. He competes well in contests and when he gets his hands on the footy he usually does something constructive with it. He is developing in my opinion. He had the better of the centre bounces in the first qtr but our midfield just couldn't capitalise.

Far too many blokes missed sitters, Marshal Jones before you start berating team mates at the 3 qtr time huddle you should hold yourself to account first and foremost. Two weeks running he has missed absolute sitters. He was hardly sighted all day. College had a downer today and he should have converted from his intercept in the 3rd qtr from 20 metres out directly in front.

Richo didn't look right today, looked a bit hesitant at times. Stubbs I thought played well today in the two's. Marshal Jones I reckon could do with a spell in the two's.

I saw Granger-Barrass in front of us today on a walking stick and someone said Logan McDonald was there earlier today in a moon boot. Christ both WA first round picks home wounded.

Gee, you Perth boys jump off early!!

Whole forward line was built around McInnes so give the coaches a chance to come up with an alternative- most likely method as not a ready replacement. Maybe Busher.

Just a bad day at the office and Perth are 1-1 and equal 3rd.

So a player that has 2 kicks 7 h/b 1 mark gave another 3 frees against whilst rucking was our best player?
Yeah he had 38 hit outs but we got smashed in the middle at clearances, who was he hitting the ball to.
Kasey Nicholas for mine was our best.

We have to play Hunter as our permanent FF,don’t have him going 100 metres up the ground.
Keep him out of the ruck.

Gee our colts got absolutely thrashed
Very demoralising for those boys.
When was the last time a colts team from any club offered up a score line like that?

If Byrne got reported then what what’s the story with Turner not getting reported for his gutless and extremely dangerous act on Clark. He landed on his back but could just as likely have landed on his head or neck, which could have had dire consequences. In this age of great concern for player welfare, this should have been reported immediately.

The Brady Grey tag on Fisher didn’t quite have the effect we wanted. Fisher had 41 disposals.

Totally outplayed, could be another long season unless tonight was just one of those games. Clark will be a sorry boy for a while, collected a couple of good hits. Think Byrne is on report but didn't see the incident?.

Nicholas tried hard and did some good things but looks like he's an ankle or lower leg injury. The disposal from Davis, Masten and Grey (and a few others ) needs to improve big time. Plenty of players had games they'd rather forget.

How embarrassing is it to not be able to provide a scoreboard at this level of competition ? A complete joke and the board when it is working is nothing short of pathetic. While they are fixing that maybe they could look at installing a wind sock and updating the sound system!

The front of the can bar has uncovered star pickets which is an accident waiting to happen, either rip them out for make it safer with caps or a more suitable barrier.
As I mentioned on the Swans's thread the scoreboard was working during the futures' game.  It dies before the colts' game and was still not working during the reserves and league games.

STT, please tell us what you believe is wrong with the coaching panel and the process by which they were appointed.

While you about it your aspersions in regard to the CEO and his son are totally unfounded IMO

I think you should go back to making silly comments about WCE and Hungry Jacks.

Jye Clark did go off at some stage in the first half with a trainer holding his forearm.

On another note, how hard is it to get the cans in the can bar cold before a game?

Last week warm cans were coming out halfway through the second quarter in what was an extremely warm day. Yesterday a similar thing. It's not hard to stack the fridges during the week or the day before or go out and buy a couple of massive buckets and fill them with ice.
