You have to wonder where the goals are going to come from. All single goal scorers yesterday bar Edmonds. We’re going to have to have a lot of guys kicking 30-40 goals if we’re going to get anywhere near the 4. With no tall target in attack, it’s hard to see us winning enough games to challenge. Christian Martin is 21 and a 196cm. Kicked 3 in the reserves.  But to be honest there weren’t too many names in the reserves who you’d suggest would play league. Missing a few from the league. Richardson will make us better. But he’s not the answer. 

I liked the look of Martin against Peel.
It was only Peel reserves, but I t6hink he is coming on maybe.
He looked agile and had ball skills.
He could well debut this year.

DF, Stubbs not showing anything in the ressies. IMO he will have a lot of work to do to get into the first 22.
Having said that, the only player in the ressies yesterday who will push hard for inclusion IMO was Joey Ugle,
He looks as trim and fit as I have not seen before. He is very skillful, uses the ball well and, most of all, he is hard at it. He seems to make things happen. The selectors surely must have him in their sights and I predict we will see him make his league debut at some time, perhaps earlier than later.


 

The only possible ins from yesterday’s lineup are Grey, Eyres, Richardson and possibly Fisher, although he had a moon boot on so I’d say he is doubtful.
I agree Regan Clarke looked much improved and I thought Smith showed enough to suggest he will be a key player in the comp.
 

Cess, Fisher has an Achilles problem....out for 4 to 6 weeks

I thought Connor Sing did well against O'Reilly in the two's. Others I liked were Jack Steel who looks like a slightly smaller version of Hunter, he pinch hit in the ruck and has a good leap, Simon Hayward is a terrier, liked his game. Chris Martin is developing along with Sam East.

What is the story with Richardson after the Peel game ?

Does anyone no what the altercation at half time between Marsh and I think it was Jye Clarke about?
