So proud of my Tiges today that was a gutsy win built on tenacity at the contest. We don’t have a lot of talent, or skill, or pace, but by jeez we have a crack and there’ll be a few sore Eagles reserves players tonight. Farewell to Ian Richardson, he broke his collarbone for the side today which led to an important goal and he has been a brilliant servant of this club and WAFL footy. I hope we can give South a run next week but will be tough without our captain and probably without Busher - another bloke who leaves nothing on the park. We certainly can’t touch $ubi if we were to get that far but we can hold our heads high after today’s win against a side loaded with AFL players and be satisfied with our season.
And well done to West Coast, they had a crack today but we had a bigger crack.

Yep...congrats ToOl...a good win by your boys. I'm looking forward to the prelim next Sunday...it should be a beauty if the qualifying final was anything to go by.

It shouldn't come as a complete surprise Too. Figures I saw earlier in the week had Claremont slightly ahead as favoured to win. Checking the online score at about three quarter time saw the Tigers a couple of goals in front. Great to see Claremont stay focussed and never gave up. Didn't know Richardson got injured, hopefully he can play on next season. If not, he can hold his head high as he must have played 150 to 200 matches for Claremont which is a tremendous effort. Like Swan Districts and Subiaco before them, good to see Claremont have 2 wins against these bastards in this season.
Now Claremont need to gear up for next week. Going to be an absorbing match against South Fremantle.

Good win. WC were top heavy and their big guys did fa. I'd say you were lucky they rested Petruccelle in the second half

Well done Tiges, sad to hear of Richo's injury, great servant of your club and arguably the best kick in the comp, not sad to see WCER crash out, could be worse, check out whats happening in the SANFL.

Sadly I think whoever wins the prelim final is facing a humiliating loss the week after in the grand final. Subi’s emphatic 46 point win over Souths in the second semi was ominous. Something needs to change in the WAFL, it can’t keep going on like this or spectator interest will continue to wane.

People need a reason to keep doing something they love, if supporters don’t see any hope for their team year in year out there is only so much they can take before they give up and walk away. Sounds a lot like a relationship.

DD it should have been done 10 years ago (as many of us called it out then) as it is irreparable damage done to the WAFL now.....many I know have walked away from the comp for good as it is just so boring and predictable year after year and all have lost hope their team can compete!
Congrats to all of the numptys at WAFC who have allowed this to happen on their watch!

Well done Claremont beating the AFL stacked side. The last thing I wanted to see was WCE winning the premiership in their first season (or any season for that matter). I would even prefer Subi winning rather than a non WAFL club.

Exactly DD this mob has absolutely destroyed the fabric of the WAFL. People just lose interest because they all know who's going to win it before the season even begins. Nobody stands a chance until their cash at bank runs out in coming years. They have made a record 6 Grand Finals in a row now and 14 of the last 18. Something is not right there. Every first year coach that walks in wins a flag. That is utter bull and he gets the credit that he's a great coach. Even the worst coach in Australia can walk in and get the job done.

What a tremendous spectacle, was a real joy to watch the intensity on TV.

Was so much better than all the AFL finals to date.

Great result as well with the Monts getting up...

Looked like a decent crowd as well,

Lets hope for a good turn out v SF.
