Sad to see Claremont fall a whisker short in the match this afternoon. It would appear their season is finished, unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat. They only play at Home once, in their last four matches.
After today, Claremont will remain on 24 Premiership points with the W b W W L L L L L L b W W W L L L b L current standing. What started as a promising season has not happened that way.
They have a chance of winning next week, but one would think their up against it in the last 3 fixtures?

Looks that way WAG. They will probably win next week,but then they play SF (home),Swans(away) and WP (home). Even 4 wins out of 4 would only bring them up to 40 which still may not be enough to get them in the finals.

Not massively I reckon kcef, always thought we were a bit overhyped, a lingering view from our 10 - 13 power era. Suffered from not having a permanent home ground, and having a midfield with basically Bolton being the only bloke over the age of 20. Missed Ryan neates and a fit skipper Jake murphy badly.
Lim, Hardisty, and Banfield don't seem to be in the afl radar and are developing into quality players so a bit of future potential for the engine room there. Be interesting to see if Zac Langdon is given a punt by any afl clubs because the glimpses of talent he has shown in most of his games has been very eye catching, he's got that explosiveness.

Claremont have been cruelled by the loss of Tom Lee & a couple of others who've been longer term absentees like Murphy & Neates
Apart from early on they haven't been able to field a full-strength side

Anyone who writes Claremont off do so at their own peril...too good a side to be declared done as yet this season!

Should get a nice percentage booster against Perth next week.

West Perth (32 points) play East Perth, East Fremantle, Subiaco and Claremont.

East Perth (28 points) play West Perth, Swans, Perth and Subiaco.

Claremont (24 points) play Perth, South Fremantle, Swan Districts and West Perth.

You'd say that West Perth should account for East Fremantle and if they can get a win over East Perth or Claremont then hey will finish in fifth.

Claremont with loosing yesterday still can make it but with being two games out they have the hardest draw out of the above teams in my opinion.

Still mathematically possible I guess but they need a lot of other results to go their way. I thought they were a shoo in when they thrashed Swans in round 13 but the fact is they havent been consistent enough. 3 wins out of their last 13 is not going to get many teams into finals

The five is done and dusted in my opinion has been for a while.

Whilst it's still possible for us to make final it's unlikely after Saturdays loss with some other results needing to go out way.

At Saturdays Presidents lunch, members of Claremont's 1964 side were interviewed. They came from nowhere to sneak into 4th and took the flag so anything is possible. Great to hear Irwin Lewis, Les Mumme and Kevin Clune speak about the 64 season and how much that flag still means to them today.
