What's watters ever achieved? Coached subi to a flag when they could spend all their Wafc given millions on players, big deal. I'd rather give a new coach a go.

Having spoken to a Premiership player from Subi from that time he told me they pretty much coached themselves in the Watters era as most of the ground work was done by German previous to him, plus all of the $ubi Oval dollars gifted to them helped a little also!!

Had a similar conversation with a Swans recruit from their 2010 premiership side. Told me that he and the other ten non locals pretty much coached themselves in the Dawson era as most of the ground work was done by the recruitment staff from the previous years and a posse of board members who could not keep track of where all the BHP Billiton spondoola was going.

Just for the record, in 2007 Watters coached with 16 Subi locals and 6 recruits and in 2008 13 locals and 9 recruits. In 2008 10 Subi players made the State side. Eight of these were Subi produced with Hildebrandt and Read being the exceptions. Have a look in your own back yard Beasley Hutton before you start throwing mud!

Geez muddy, take it easy mate......Subi had a fantastic run and congrats to them......but anyone(McMahon included) could of coached that side and had success....

.....the depth of quality Subi had at the time was amazing.....same as McPhee at Cl.....amazed at the level of his success at Sandringham  .....thought he was a gun coach at Cl......oh well.... fingers crossed Watters regains his mojo and restores that invisible force to his universe once again!

Was he working under Lyon this year? He'd have to be a strong chance. Played under terry Wallace and, John dimmer I think. Perhaps Cardy could give us his opinion of his time as senior coach at west Perth.

They always have done in the past in the pre season letter to members j b. I'm surprised at how long this new coach process is taking, how long has it been since Webb went to the purple company, nearly a month? I wonder if Mcphee could be a candidate now with the shake up at st Kilda. I reckon the job would be his if he wanted it.. maybe you should ask your Irish back packer neighbour if she's heard anything more j b!

Forget the backpacker.....I'm relying on a pikey now ....reading the tealeaves from the back of a white van selling discounted electrical goods :woohoo:
Hope McPhee doesn't get the gig....mention the 2010 GF and I break out into a rash...ugliest coaching display!
