Would be fantastic to be able to turn on a redio and listen to the Wafl like the old days. Sadly people can only tune into SportFM on the radio within the metro area.

ABC radio covered the derby today though obviously not when an AFL match is being played here.

They’re fighting for funds to keep up their broadcasts.

With Channel 7 televising the SF vs EF game and Sport FM 91.3 doing the SU vs CL game on the radio why on earth would the ABC also cover the Freo Derby on the radio when 2 other WAFL games are not being covered at all?????
The SD vs WP game had a big crowd and 2 large supporter bases why wouldnt they have covered that game on the radio for WA listeners?
At least then 3 games of the 4 are being covered for WA footy fans either on TV or radio, it really isnt that hard surely?
Absolutely mind numbing stuff around the WAFL but sadly not surprising!

You know how it is BH, the Fremantle derby is always pumped up as the only premier fixture and gets most of the attention. Spare a thought for us rural citizens who had a choice between the derby on tv or the derby on the radio

If anyone wants to know how to deal with Subi's game plan, they should have watched Claremont yesterday, they had us covered all over the ground from the first bounce. Massive pressure all day particularly on Horse who had a forgettable day, Dela was monstered in the ruck but did ok around the ground. Claremont moved the ball with precion and worked harder on the spread plus they were very accurate. So much for the unbeatable Subiaco, Cl showed up deficiencies on all lines.

The way EF have played the last 5 years, there is no way the Freo derby should get top billing....the Cl v Subi game surely should of been the broadcasted game....with the WP v SD game close behind.....traditions are important and great, but commonsense should prevail, that derby was done by 1/4 time and whilst good for the SF fans, was a piss poor advertisement for the WAFL.... especially with a COVID delayed start.

Well done Cl....hopefully that win will add some spice to the shortened season....
