Congrats South...worthy winners. It wasn't a great game of footy but prelims rarely are given what is at stake. You won the first encounter this year we won the next two with no big blow outs so its game on imo. Good luck Sunday and may the best team win.

Well - that was the result we have wanted for the last few years..

It didn't look that flash at half time, CFC dominated the possessions.

But our finish was great, storming home and going in hard to record a convincing victory.

Noah Strom was outstanding holding Tom Lee scoreless and to two kicks.

Well done to the boys.

Now its a matter of taking it up to Subi, lets hope its not a one sided snore fest like last year.

Hard fought ugly game as BC said not uncommon for Prelims, Souths had a forward line, something Claremont didn't have so all there possessions meant very little as they bombed it in and the Souths backs had a field day. Higgins second half was exceptional 13 or 14 touches in the half is elite for a ruckman and his tapwork was terrific, Schloithe was the general out there and his cool calm delivery set up so many attacking moves, he will need a run with in the GF. While Subi are almost unbackable anything can happen on the day and I would expect the Bullies to target a few of Subi's mids, especially Dela, if i was Souths i would be looking to run through a few blokes early to try and even things up, that would make it interesting and take away Subi's fittness dominance after a weeks rest. Anything can happen on the day. if it's fine it could be close if it's wet i think Subi comfortably.
