FMD I must have been at a different game yesterday, I cannot understand the crap that is being spun by some SD posters.
Swans were very gallant yesterday and particularly in the first half had they capatilised on a few more opportunities and not turned the ball through bad skills and bad decision making could have put SF under a bit more pressure.
Great to see the team respond to the coach at halftime and come and play with precision and skill in the second half.
Reserves continue to play well and a host of players continue to put their hand up for selection. Skinner got through his first hit out.
The colts must have played out of their skin in a very low scoring but tight colts game, great to see another three wins again

Dwert I knew that they would mention the umps. They were going off their face every time a decision went against them. The frees count was 26-24 in their favour.

First time I've been to Basso where I could find parking spots around the perimeter fence of the oval. Their members area was empty & so was the McDonald Stand. There would have 500 there max.

Yeh like I said on the SD thread they pay the cheap ones when the game is shot and that evens up the count, it was 12 kicks to 5 at one stage when up for grabs and one question - can you honestly say hand on heart that Hams and Sloithe don't duck or throw their heads back EVERY time they get tackled legit?? Its like diving in soccer and should be run out of the game, these two are masters and get no respect from me the way they play the game. Luke Shuey, Christensen from Brisbane and the Selwood boys are the same in the AFL, On the other hand we get mongrelled and ridden into the back and no kick. No wonder Greg Harding and Riggio had a crack at the umps half time! Are you going to tell me that they would have a go at them if all was ok?
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

With respect to Swans' performance there have been several posters, including myself, that have made comments about some positive signs from the match.

Roman exactly how many free kicks did we get from say the 15 minute mark in the last quarter? Also, how many free kicks did we get in the first quarter compared with the number that South Freo got in the same qtr? It was a shocking crowd; the worst I have ever seen at Basso for a league match. One could also make the comment that there weren't that many South Freo supporters there either. May one also ask you what do you think was the subject of the conversation between Riggio and the umpires at the end of the second quarter? Do you think Riggio was enquiring as to whether the umpires thought it was a wet day?

Dwert where do you see SF weakness this year?...if any?....some real quality up back, across the middle and up front....reserves travelling well so injuries shouldn't be a big concern for you boys....

IMO our team defense still requires refining, not sure we have the right combination in our back half.
Need a bit of luck and fingers crossed like everyone else we dont cop any injuries to key players. Make the top two and you give yourself a huge chance.

The reserves have been an absolute revelation Freez, I just hope that the young fellas continue to press for positions as you need the pressure from below to keep everyone on their toes and they are doing a great job atm.
