I pose the question is today's result a reflection of head office saying to their mob "make sure you get in to finals we will need to keep players fit in reserve for the tilt at the AFL flag" or more a reflection of players realising it is getting deep in to the season and they better start showing some energy and form in the WAFL if they intend to be part of the AFL action in September. Have been under performing all year at WAFL level and looks like they have suddenly taken the blinkers off going on the commentary here.

There's 6 more that , if senior AFL players weren't out for the season , would have been out there mate

Read Mandurah for most of this season

Don't worry about "level playing fields" - this comes down to the scenario of elite leagues versus state based ones

DW......when EP lose folk gloat and say weak as piss, no heart, dont play the jumper blah blah......when they win folk quickly change their tune and harp on about unlevel playing fields, professional v semi professional, the alignment is a disgrace blah blah......SF had a shite day at the office, ......wrong time of the season to have it.......simple as that......if SD lose today it's gonna get 100 times worse all this alignment whinging.......fark for the sake of a quiet one I hope your Swannies win DW

With Cl losing and a few injury concerns to their taller boys, SF are well n truly still in it.......that is if they have the heart and desire to want it........sounds like EP wanted it more yesterday though.....

If that were to happen then G Walton et al are even more contemptible than I thought possible.

Rest assured also that despite the report in today's West suggesting that Ballantyne would not be able to play for "Peel"; if Freo want him to play for "Peel" then he will play.

Further, I can't wait to hear G Walton explain how the integrity of the WAFL is maintained if Ryan Crowley is, under any circumstances, eligible to play for "Peel" in the WAFL GF.

Those at the WAFC should hang their heads in shame and should either get a backbone and make decisions which are consistent with maintaining the integrity and credibility of the WAFL competition or resign en masse.

I may be wrong swan but I thought that rule had been changed, if peel or East Perth don't make finals Eagles and dockers players could no longer play reserves finals.

I'm definitely not one who has said it comes down to passion and heart when they lose! I've said all along that I think both teams are near on impossible to beat when not overly affected by injury to the seniors and otherwise. How it can be determined that East Perth are eligible for a compensation pick as such is mind boggling. If any team requires assistance it's the one on the bottom of the ladder, not one that is assisted to the hilt!

You are probably not far off the mark but we would be playing EP players as you are and that is better than being aligned, buying players like subi et al! Perth don't seem to able to retain their good colts and that is a big issue for them.
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Agree with you on yesterday"s performance Freez.
It appeared that SF players did not turn up with the same competitive mindset as the week before against EF.
We not only APPEARED to look like boys versus men we ACTED like it. It all seemed to hard and too tough for us yesterday so back to the drawing board next week V Subi as results yesterday still keep us alive amazingly.
Unfortunately it will not be any easier next week be interesting to see which side turns up to play?

If the AFL team is not playing finals that week aligned guys must have played 5 games to qualify.

I have really tried to get into WAFL this year and stay positive despite the alignment farce.

But yesterday I came pretty much to the conclusion that I had reached a fork in the road as to my future support for WAFL.

What unfolded was a depressing reality that the comp was finished, a glance up at score board and another pathetic one sided game was being played out as a obscenely wealthy club demolished Perth. Meanwhile the Afl group went about stomping all over a bunch of local try hards.

The weak as p!ss WAFC have a lot to answer for (as if we didnt already know that) now those weak pr!cks are even fixturing WART & FART games on Sundays when their sugar daddys are playing interstate on a Saturday so those AFL flogs can fly their emergencies back to play in the WAFL the next day. Why do we g6 clubs even bother sometimes?
