Note: Being a Sunday game this list is drawn from the WAFL site & subject to change

Last one for the year and due to the quirk of fixturings because of the odd number of teams since 1997 , we have two consecutive away Derbies which is not usual in history

Gain a couple of good ins but I think there will be changes before Sunday

Should be a good game

This will be a very physical game like all derbies Southerner. It is the Sharks last chance to keep in touch with the top 5 so they will be desperate. I think your guys have them covered though and I am tipping the Doggies by 5 goals.

B)

Awesome !!!!

Another stirring last quarter blast from the lads - congrats to young Callum AhChee but we won't have this boy for long , he'll be drafted high sadly

Hams brothers were outstanding , Schloithy too - whole side was good all day keeping that lot to 1 goal at one end of the ground & that was in the last minute or so

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeee the mighty BULLDOGS .... Southerners for ever more :cheer:

Well done to your boys Southerner. Was there a strong breeze blowing up one end? Game seemed to see saw from one quarter to the next.

Firstly a note to the WAFL, give up on Sunday games, that was one of the smallest derby crowds i have seen in years ,

Great win, ran it out and got the points, still a chance for finals.

Wasn't a gale force wind at all mate but a few squally patches made it hard for everyone particularly at that end
Almost kept 'em goalless at one end - almost

Good day out at Shark Park, nearly got the trifecta but the young colts where not good enough in the second half. Probably didnt help that they had their best midfielder McColm sitting in the shed with an ankle and they just lacked a little bit of run and drive from their midfield when it counted most in the second half. Great to see the other 18s lads stay up ie Kade Stewart(Reserves) and of course AhChee(League)
I would imagine a few weeks out from the finals will determine where these youngsters play?
Reserves again another good performance after being tested for most of the 1st Half by the gummies , completley out ran and outworked the listless Sharks in the 2nd Half, good to see the continued good performances from players at this level and in turn placing pressure on our league team for spots. We have got good depth and very few injuries at the minute lets hope that it continues as you need to have an element of luck leadin into the later part of the season.
League team where very good to absorb the EF tackling and pressure for the major part of the game and then finish the game off in the manner in which they did in the last quarter was superb. AhChee's debut was sensational and I hope we see a little bit more of his undoubted talents in the remaining five games of the season. His ball handling and skills are as clean as you would see, particularly for a first gamer in the heat of a Derby. Branchi"s inclusion allowed Higgins to play more forward and he did take some strong marks and created a physical presence in the forward line something that we have lacked in recent weeks. Pullman was servicaable also and his 3 goals were very valuable. Four changes this week to the team , in my opinion there will probably be another two or 3 this week. But we must start to settle our team and focus on playing some consistent good football in the coming weeks with games V WC reserves , Subi , Freo reserves coming up we need to win at least two of those games before our round 21 bye if we have any prospects of finals action.

Yeah it was mate - Callum brought back a few memories of Pete Matera & Nicky Winmar a couple of times

Another guy whose skills were remarkable yesterday was Marlion Pickett - that sidestep at extreme pace of his is something out of the box , and he can literally play any position on the ground

We've still got a sniff won't be easy though
