Yep I remember him at EP - I think Ishenko was with him their at one stage but I had a feeling at South later in his career he played deep in the forward line as well as the ruck ??? I remember he always kicked goals against us at Subi. I'll have to look back through the records one day and check it out - I'm sure someone told me once he won the goal kicking ??? I may be wrong - anyone out there remember ???

Craig Edwards was the WAFL leading goalkicker in 1992 with 56 goals. He was runner up to David Bain for the 1988 Sandover Medal and won that Medal the following year.

He was South fairest and best in 1988 and 89 and was leading goalkicker for the club in 1986 and 92.

Yep Bird, He went into the 1989 GF under an serious injury cloud, I was there when he "passed" the fitness test the night before the GF, ankle or knee I think, he was pretty immobile but was played anyway, M Rioli also went in on one leg, both these factors had a huge impact on SF's poor performance on the day.

Craig really did have a tremendous year in 89, he dominated the ruck and was taking marks all over the ground, infact 1989 was a great year for the WAFL all round, quaility players at all clubs - great home and away crowds, 38,000 plus at the GF in poor weather, it really was the last hurrah, despite being after the eagles entry, for the WAFL before the AFL started dominating the scene. The entry of the dockers and now the host club deal has flattened it.
