Had to be 6,500 surely there yesterday. Havent seen official figures yet but im thinking 1,200 in sf members, 500 in old stand, 500 around the fences and 4,000 in the outer? Looked good from where i sat and a good atmosphere.

Exactly what I thought too way more than the 4000 reported anyway & the atmosphere reminded me a little of years gone by actually

Make no mistake freeze, we should have won by a heap more. As Stavros said at 1/4 time - the boys just thought it was going to happen, even though he warned them about this. A slow start, into gear in the 2nd quarter, then back to the EF style of taking the foot off the pedal when they set up a good lead. Shoot, we just don't know how to bury a team when we have them on ice. See the p!$$ had gone to Andrew Ember's brain...selecting Saunders as BOG. Must have been watching a different game to the judges, as common sense prevailed.
As for the broadcast, 7 is definitely doing it better than 2 - vision and commentary wise.

What 5 x the members on top of each other? 5 lots of the old grandstand on top of each other and 5 x of the outer crammed into the outer? The Claremont game a few Friday's ago I think had 2,700 from memory?? Well that was what was reported anyway. So they are telling me that 1,700 more turned up to make that crowd? BULLSH1T.

Other codes like soccer and rugby inflate their numbers, why do we deflate them?

Saunders mark by the way looked way better on tv too. What a ripper that was. Hopefully was shown on ch 7 news etc.

The Saunders mark was something else! It'll take something VERY spectacular to knock him off for mark of the year. Pity it didn't get shown around in the AFL arena.
