You should have 4 points in the bank at 5 o'clock Saturday.

Don't be too sure about that, Peel aren't that bad, they have some good players running around and although my boys have been ordinary thus far, they are just around the corner from their first win !

Yes Leeds it would not be a great surprise to see an ambush after our bye - it will be no cert in any way at all I reckon

The season is done & dusted for us as well.
The bye could not have come at a worse time.
Thanks Chunder it's all your fault.
You are always to blame!

I made my self travel down to Mandurah to watch all 3 games on Saturday even though I had the bad vibes all week about how the day may go.

The colts were very lucky to beat Peel who sat on the bottom of the table. Yes we were missing a host of our good players but still an ordinary effort all round by the fellas.

Then the reserves came out and had an absolute shocker against a previously winless and bottom placed peel side. 6 goals in a game = ordinary footy. I think we won our first 2 games in the ressies and since then have been horrible.

Then the league side strolls out against a winless bottom of the table Peel side . . . .again. I always make a note of what the league players do at 3/4 time of the reserves game when they come out to have a run around on the oval. Just gives me a feel of their attitude. Didn't like it when I saw a few of them practicing drop kicks and rugby league drop goal field attempts. Anyway as I walked past James Sellar (who was wearing his club uniform) I thought ouch . . . that is going to hurt us as Peel would have to be the tallest team to ever have played at one time.

Griffen 201cms
Taberner 197cms
Pearce 199cms
Bradley 198cms
Apeness 199cms
Hannath 201cms

Even Morabito is 189cms and Menangola is 188cms and Ballard is 188 cms as midfielders.

No room for Wood 189cms, Vandeleur 193cms and Moller 201cms as they played reserves.

Flaherty and Thornton aren't small either.

We started well however with Saunders being isolated inside 50 and kicking 3 in the first 10 mins. BUT for some reason we stopped kicked it direct and began to chip it and fall right into Peel's (Freo) style of congested stoppage play.

To only kick 4 more from the 15 min mark of the first quarter was embarrassing.

Other points of interest for the day.
* Had to break up a fight under the scoreboard between a gang of indigenous 12 year olds and some non indigenous 12 year olds at half time. Heard them all talking rubbish until of course somebody was challenged, they didn't back down and it was on. Unfortunately one of the groups of boys found a member of the other group by himself 5 mins later and teamed up to get him 4 on 1. I wasn't happy, neither was the mum of the one who was ganged up on. I told her what I had heard and seen for her to say "Did he get a good round kick in? I pay for his karate lessons, that why I do." (Umm no he didn't, maybe don't let your son brag that he does karate as a bullseye quickly appears on his head for others to attack and maybe get him another instructor because the lessons aren't working)

* Went and got some lunch at Mandurah Forum at half time of the ressies. Never have I ever seen so many mullets, tattoos, women who I thought were men, men who I thought were going to stab me, ugg boots, bintang tank tops, piercings, black leggings on ladies that didn't need to be doing that and family combinations that just had me scratching me head (or was that the head lice I had just contracted) in my WHOLE EXISTANCE =)Wowwwww wwweeeeeeeeee!!!

* Walked through the new clubrooms there for the first time, very nice, modern and slick. A lot of $$$ in that lot you think they might be able to get the scoreboard guy to put scores up from other venues, fix the whole in the fence that lets netball spectators walk through for free and watch the footy (hence the fight I had to break up between the Mandurah gangs) or fill in the friggen huge holes in the outer. No wonder no one goes over that side of the ground ever. Although I did see the ground maintainance man fix some metal chairs with 150m of duct tape!!

* The Peel supporter who yells out "lets go thunder lets go" is a complete mad man but we had a couple of friendly looks when I realised that he was just trying to stir some people up . . . and that he may hurt me badly and burry me in one of those holes under the scoreboard.

* Hams doesn't like Josh Simpson and Simpson doesn't like to be quiet.

* The lovely lady in the canteen gave me a bag of hot dog buns to take home as they were spare but told me not to freeze em!!! Poisonous if you do!! Had me worried so it's fair to say I may not be opening that bag.

* Car was still there after the game.

* Only contracted 2 small rashes this time and only had to turn down 3 chances of buying illegal substances before half time of the little league.

All in all - a top day in Mandurah =)

oh yeah - and Cam Shephard has to go on report from what he said to the umpires at 3/4 time. Won't repeat it but wooohoooo - colour FULL. And he went way inside the centre square to say it too.
SFFC - WOOF WOOF

Hey Doggy,
You forgot the most important thing - there was no timeclock. Apparently the digital clock got vandalised during the week surprise! surprise! and the hand clock had no arms. What a shambles and utter disgrace. I have been following this game for over three decades and I have never been to a game where there was no timeclock. Have you? Has anyone? Wake up Peel!, wake up WAFL!
