Lets calm down a bit fellas hey?? I to was embarrassed and pissed off that we let them get back into it. Don't think I have seen us look like a million bucks and then within an hour look second rate like that before.

I gotta tell ya though, the quarter time siren was the worst thing for us. From that point our clearance work, especially in the centre was shocking. Leyendekkers I thought controlled the square very well from quarter time and did what he wanted really. Clem Smith is a gun and his skills stand out already and the bloke who was tagging Hams (who had 8 possessions in the first quarter) did a superb job cutting him completely out of the game restricting Hams to only 11 for the whole game.

Collard killed us and looks very promising which the small forwards from other clubs seem to do quite often.

The problem I see was with our talls, especially in the forward line. Here is what I mean.

Perfect night for footy, free flowing, we kicked 18 I know but when the pressure came on we couldn't take a grab up there. All the other goals came from smalls and midfielders. Can't rely on that to win games, not when you have recruited talls to have that as an advantage and then get no goals from Gumby, Pullman, Sellar or Higgins.

Marlon Pickett and Jacob Martinez were shinning lights though throughout the whole game. I won't bag any individuals just yet but they will need to lift pretty quickly.

Reserves and colts continue to win but we can't keep hanging our hat on minor flags and GFs.

TIME for the league side to step up in the next month and win 3 of them and get some credibility back.

Haze is going to wield the axe this week. There will be a few changes.

Gee it was only a couple of weeks ago and plenty were tipping Souths to be one of the prime movers and big improvers for 2014.
A loss this week V East Perth and it could be tough to make up ground on the others.
