Great to see we have 5 blokes signed up already who will all play league footy for us in 2014. Pullman, Saunders, Gillespie, Hams, Gumby, Miller, Collica and Sokol up there in some kind of mix should be ok.

Verrier had a fairly good year in the VFL and should be a very handy player for us through the midfield and off half back with his brother.

Sellar a big body to replace Tighe with AFL experience should help us enormously.

Schloithe not having to worry about whether he would be in or out or rested every week will be great for us week in week out.

All of these 5 players cost us around 18 points. I reckon we had around 55 to use after Banner, Tighe, Grima left (30 points) and McCarrey as well.

I also believe Brendon Gulley is back training who would another 1 point player returning who would be very helpful down back or on a wing.

We definitely have more points to use but finances may stop us from getting another 2-3 10 point players.

Callum Wilson is a MUST. I hope he sees the chance he can have playing WAFL footy - enjoying himself, no pressure, getting paid and winning some games with his mates. Kyle Hams too shouldn't be given up on yet, another 1 point player we need to get back.

Wes Lammie a chance at all? Wouldn't cost many points either.

If we can get at least 1 of those 3 and have Nathan Krakouer, Collica, Shaun Bewick returning and Jarrod Parry playing with a few of the colts boys filtering through we could be ok.

Would still like to see 2 more recruits picked up if none of the Wilsons, lammies, Hams come off. A CHB - and a classy midfielder.

Got the points and we should have the cash with cuts and better planning to get 2 more players.

Burnett finding good form early and a fit Bairstow will help us a great deal. Hopefully Reece Adams turns up soon.

Anyway, a good recruiting start for 2014 - need to throw some dough at 2 players and get them to Freo. We can do that and we look alright.

Bang on mate ..... another key will be making sure Damian Hayward is fit as this is the glaring weakness because Sellar is being hired as the replacement swingman for Andy McCarrey
Otherwise it becomes yet another pinch hit Ruck season for the likes of Gillespie , Sellar or Bolger/Strom

Sellar joins Ashton Hams, Steve Verrier & Hayden Schloithe from the AFL & Josh Pullman from Swan Districts.

Going to be a great season for the boys from the port.

I'll call it now...South Freo WILL play finals!!!

Does he realize that South have no money!!!
Hams and Schloithe have been Souths players for years, even though on the Eagles and Dockers list.

You are forgetting one key thing anchor...our number one ticket holder has money...bucket loads of it :)

Hams is still contracted to swans so you would have to pay out his contract and a clearance fee. Lammie has just taken over a dairy farm down south so you would be forking out big dollars to get those 2 on board

personally I see big Wes as an intriguing potential recruit if he was to accept an offer from South .... massive upside - he did well for Swans I thought Mark

Do you think Swans would take the transfer coin quickly ????

Kyle Hams ???? There is no guarantee he will be at South in 2014 at all , from all accounts he will be at Busselton in the SWFL in 2014

If Souths are able to pick up Lammie and Kyle Hams returns on top of their recruiting already then look at next year. Got some real nice kids there as well. Souths could be the Port Adelaide of 2014 :)

It would cost 100k+ to get both lammie and hams on board with clearance fees and contracts, not sure how south can afford that if they have no money

You would think that if (huge IF given the current condition) Hamsy decided to rejoin Ash at Souths that Swans would return the easy transfer at the same rate they were given Mark
As for contract - have Swans paid Hamsy in advance ???? If not then it is up to those two parties to agree to amicable terms of separation/termination of contract
Agree that South would then have to cough up a deal whatever that would be ... but again a big IF

Big Wes ????? My coin is on the other Red V .... South Bunbury

Hams is contracted for 2014, any wafl player under contract can't be cleared unless the club agrees to it. South would have to pay out the contract and any fee swans nominate, they are not there to help south out.
