The weather is forecasted to be ok for game day. Maximum temperature supposed to be 19 over the weekend. And no rain predicted for the Elimination Final on Sunday either. Should make pleasant viewing conditions at both venues.

Well done Souths for a come from behind win. Must have been an exciting game to watch particularly when the result hinged on a kick after the siren.

Thanks mikeh.  I cannot take too many more heart stoppers like this one.  Good luck to your boys tomorrow.

Incredible come back looked gone for all money came out a different team after half time.

First half absolutely woeful. Claremont was fast
Efficient and we didn’t look like kicking a winning score.

Came out angry and closed the gap in rapid fashion only to have it neck and neck in the last minute , a a kick to win it after the siren - didn’t come off , what a thriller.

Hard scrappy game in the first half where Claremonts tackling pressure took Souths space away so they couldn't really execute very well where Cl pace showed out once they won the footy and created the overlap. They also had hard tags on key Souths mids. But for some reason that close checking tackling pressure eased in the second half as did the close tags which was fatal for Cl in the end. Once you give Souths any space they will cut you up and thats what happened in the third qtr. Things tightened up again in the last and to both teams credit they fought it out till, that kick after the siren.

Looked like a few injuries to Souths, Dent came off with a nasty head knock would be out under concussion rules I would think and Parker did a groin which sadly for him may be his season done.

Su v Souths at Leederville next week should be an absolute ripper, Souths will be pumped after that come back win. Always believe it's better to win by a point than 10 goals.

An unreal match this one. Claremont had 12 scoring shots for their 6.6 in the first half. Whereas South had 8 scoring shots up until the big break for their 2.6 score line. The match turned around after half time with the Home team having 12 scoring shots to Claremont with 7. Apparently all the stats were relatively even without huge discrepancy.

As a neutral in attendance, I thought yesterday's game was an absolute ripper.
I felt for Jared Hardisty after his failed attempt to win the game after the siren.
South seems to have the wood over Claremont when it comes to the recent close ones at Fremantle Oval: a three-point win in the 2020 GF and two one-point victories this year.
Not sure if I was imagining things, but the scoreboard clock seemed to be missing its minute hand!

Yeah, the hand was missing, no idea why, first time i've seen that, they had a couple of digital clock boards set up on the ground.

I'm glad I wasn't imagining things, Bazza!
I couldn't see the digital clocks from where I sat, but my phone kept me up to speed with time.
