Our bogie side coming up in a crucial clash for both teams, more so them, haven't beaten them since 2018.

Bazza, Perth certainly do have the wood over SF, what's the deal there mate? Compared to previous games between the two side, this Perth side on paper looks the strongest SF have ever faced since 2018.....does that mean SF are odds on to win this one?

Absolutely right Freezin, have the wood for sure, and yes a string side a probably the weakest to face them for some time, no Higgins  Parker Wilson, going by that we are up for a big challenge.

Lose the big fella but it gives the young bloke a run - good to see few returning in the reserves from long lay offs
Should be a good game regardless and as Bazza says a good challenge

Outstanding effort mostly - took the foot off in the last but the young blokes helped us enormously - rapt with Hamish Free and what he did today , well maybe gave a few kicks away but he did a great job
Perth never gave in and put respectability on the board in the last
cannot remember the last time we kicked our first 12 goals straight either

PS - was a hoot seeing Swan Districts snatching a thriller with all due respect to Subiaco and the Cardies got up - top 2 sides losing in the same round geez thats a good footy arvo !

That was more like it dominated from the outset and plenty of scoreboard pressure.

Higgins out didn’t seen to impact much and if was the best performance from our forwards in a long time.

Last game I’ll see for a while heading up North for 3 weeks.

Southener, I am feeling right at home again. I made the mistake of thinking we we might be the real deal this year. But now we're back to being patronised by opposition fans saying we tried hard and were respectable - and it feels right. It feels normal. I am comfortable going to the footy hoping for an honourable loss, maybe snatching the odd win, just hoping to avoid the spoon. Expectations are too stressful. 34 point loss to SF is probably par. I hope we can get within 4 goals of WP, within 8 goals of Subi, maybe win a couple before the end of the year and then get  back to being the little team that could next year and beyond.

Yes it’s bad but imagine being a Souths supporter. They promise the world til September and fall in a heap. At least we know early.

What other team could fail to get a flag out of a team featuring:

Kelly, Pickett, Parker, Cook, Scloithe, Shaw, Main, Higgins, Wilson, Hams, Dragovich, Suban, Hockey, Donaldson, Strom etc etc

I reckon only one team in. Australia could do it…

Oh oh oh yes , we’re the great pretenders

A Grade Clown, bugger of loserville on the Perth thread.

geez mate well the only thing I've got is that Perth did not throw in the towel completely otherwise they'd have lost by over 100 points - but I hope you took my comments as respectful even if that was in some little form or way
