Yes...good luck to Souths as they should make a few bucks out of it and I certainly don't begrudge them being selected but it's the whole issue of playing a GF at a suburban ground that grinds my gears.

As a kid I used to always dream I wonder what it would be like to be like Subiaco and play all the finals at our home ground, I mean imagine if Fremantle had been the place the GF was played like the advanatge Subi had in days of gone by...I guess the dream came true.

Remember Subi Oval was essential just that - a Suburban ground that just grew.

I am sure and would really like to see the GF played at a good bigger neutral venue, its just a pity the WACA didnt get off its ring years ago and offer us a good 15-20K venue with world class light and surface.

I thought the WAFC were on record as saying the proceeds from playing a WAFL GF at a suburban ground would be equally shared amongst all the WAFL clubs?....or has that now changed from the WAFC as well?

No nothings changed - I guess all SFFC will make is Club Bar sales in the same way Subi did for years when all the finals where played there in 70s and 80s, who despite that still managed to go broke - work that out?

Wow that makes me a clown because I stand by my principals. Hopefully WP go straight through to the GF and if you make it through to the GF your team gets the visitors rooms. That would be good karma for being happy the GF is not played at the best venue in the land.
