Now official that Geo Pell is found guilty & will most likely dumped by the Pope.
Decision was late last year but a ban was placed on this until today.
I googled it & got the news before Xmas but couldn't print it.
Just shows how far the church will go to defend these pediphiles.

not defending him ...but hay 40 years ago 2 13 year alter boys were caught drinking alter wine,someone then sprung them and 'rooted' them.....13 year olds drinking wine would be pissed after 2 or 3 gulps..just wonder what other priests were at that church as well....may be another dirty fiddler church person in the right place with 2 pissed 13 year olds.

Wasnt it they "wine"they give out after communions etc, thats what i read somewhere, not sure any alcahol in it anyway??\

What catholic mafia? you trying to say our courts of appeal are full of mafia?

So Pell's been found guilty of being a child rapist and pedo, he is appealing which is every persons right and the financial might of the church of Rome will be right behind him as it seems the old cardinals still haven't come to terms with the idea that child rape is a crime. Fingers crossed the outcome gives justice to those innocents that have suffered decades of mental and physical torture by the church. If this decision is upheld on appeal, Pell should not just be "defrocked", he should be excommunicated, anything else is an insult to the victims.

I like what some of the protesters have done by putting up crime scene ribbons around catholic churches, simple but powerful image.

Now that the verdict is out I must say I'm a bit surprised he was found guilty based on the evidence as we know it. In saying that, it appears quite a bit of the graphic detail has been withheld by the press and not reported but notwithstanding that, there's a few unanswered questions which cause me some uncertainty such as you'd think there'd be others as well who Pell had molested since it's taken until recently for this to come out, would he take such a risk in an area where he could quite easily be caught....why did this jury take the unsupported and unverified version of one person over Pell when the burden of proof is beyond reasonable doubt and the first jury weren't all convinced? There just seems to be too many loose ends which imo opinion will see him acquitted on appeal...in saying that, the jury has spoken and the legal system has made a decision which hopefully will give some comfort to other victims and make future predators think twice.
