I saw Brian yesterday at the game that was commemorating the 76 GF. He doesn't know me from Adam but when I said hi Cuz - He had a big smile - stopped and asked me how I was and wished me all the best.

to be perfectly honest who really cares about Ben Cousins and what he gets up to other than his family and friends? the sooner the media realizes that no-one really gives a f*^k the better. I for one don't particularly think its newsworthy watching a former footy player spiraling further out of control but maybe that's just me. maybe the voyeurs amongst us enjoy it.

It's a story because all people grapple with the vicissitudes of life.
Ben was no dickhead but a kid led astray and like a drinker who can't fight his way out of bottle he has lost nearly or perhaps everything.

The difference comes because the viewing public have seen him at his best whereas the usual down and outer drug addict hasn't had his strengths portrayed on tv and the sporting field - so it reminds us of our venerability

This went past being a sad story when that documentary/expose was broadcast on telly - I mean when the fool allowed himself to be filmed smoking a crackpipe on National telly , walking in on Kizon etc etc etc etc that just sealed it

This is an individual who will not stay to himself nor show even the barest fragment of dignity to his Family name

surely the besotted AFL fan base are partly responsible for Ben's belief that he is above society and the law.....talk about fuel the ego and distort one's ability to acknowledge what is right and what is wrong....how many yes people has that guy had in his ear....his family must be beyond devastation and frustration

I came across a fella late last night directing traffic outside the BP in Morley. Obviously high on meth the big issue for this fella was the traffic was out on the road and not in the car bay he was championing. What is it about this drug that makes people want to be traffic controllers albeit with a mars bar and a picnic as his glow lights....I had to snigger at the irony that there was not a policeman nor reporter in sight for this fruit loop
