where did that come from grassman?

Out of left field for sure Grassy, but not a hell of a way off the mark.

When Mike pulled the pin I did look into it and got the nitty gritty but decided that I didn't have the technical savvy or the inclination to be the subject of lawyers writs because of blasphemous posts or the cash to put up front. I must say that I did like the idea and would be interested if others wanted to get together to keep this unique website going. I don't think Mike and George have received the credit they deserved on here for what they gave to the WAFL community.

You don't know what you've got until you lose it, and when this site goes the way of Footygoss in a few days time it'll be a damn shame. I would have thought that someone would have stepped up to the plate but that doesn't appear to have transpired.

I didn't run the tipping this season because it would have been a waste of time seeing the deadline is nigh.

In the meantime all the very best to all the wonderful people on here, I've met a few,and here's hoping an eleventh hour saviour emerges. Especially all the best to you Grassy.

I agree with the first paragraph re libel etc. Also some people are very one sided & spiteful.

OOS I didn't have the pleasure of meeting you but certainly appreciated your efforts in the Memory Lane and footy tipping competitions over the years. I certainly hope you have all the Memory Lane articles saved in case another site pops up in the future.

lawyers writs bird? who would take anything said on here seriously enough to take legal action? christ, I wouldn't think anyone would take any notice of this site other than a handful of WAFL tragics.

I think a number of people on this site take considerable legal risks in posting what they do. There are over a 1000 signed up members of OZ footy and even though only a small number of those actually post, you will notice there are a large number of "guests" looking at posts ( there are 106 as I type this). Who knows who these guests are? The point is that a lot more people are looking at this site than you might imagine. Food for thought.

I guess if anyone is silly enough to make unsubstantiated claims about someone and they actually name that person then they ask for all they get. I've gotta say I haven't seen too much on here that fits the bill other than some stuff about bribes on the Swans thread which I will admit was a bit too out there for mine.

Hi Obird would be great if you took control and saved the site, sadly it does not appear to be the case. I know you did great work with past players stories, loved the old Sffc ones of course.
