Could be interesting the timing of the hearing.

Yup, dont forget tho PN, WE IN AUS HATE AND ABHOR ANYTHING TO DO WITH DRUGS IN SPORT, AND WILL WORK WITH ANYONE TO TRY TO ERIDCATE THIS.
So wada which does its best to ping drug cheats, they (afl etc) now have a vendetta against it.
Still the AFL here will think that the punters/muppets here will follow the mighty afl and believe em. Its embarrassing should any eyes of the sporting world be looking on

Cronulla must be laughing they took their backdated 12 month ban and its pretty much forgotten now, but no Essendon and Hird wanted to poke the bear,in a way I feel for the players on the other hand they probably deserve what they get for sitting tight with Hird.

And now the worlds eyes will be on them as you say, and I very much doubt there will be any leaks coming out of the AFL until the appeal takes place because they have been completely cut out of it by Wada.

To give a little perspective as to the possible legal representation required: in the CAS case between the ITF, WADA and Richard Gasquet around 2007 Gasquet was represented by 2 solicitors, 2 barristers and and attorney-at-law.

Well said PN, that in a nutshell is the core of the issue, Turds own arrogance will bring the entire stinking edifice down around him.

Hird - screwed
Essendon - screwed
Dank and his cronies - screwed
Players - covered in the shit that the Coach and the club allowed , wont be vindicated I feel but likely to have several with 'sit down over there' notices.

Back to Hird - just a chance that this might actually end his ill fated dabble into coaching
He'll no longer be able to shove the players in front of him like a deflective shield.
Its all about you now mate and your disrespectful club for f.....king the process oh ... and the ego driven arrogance you displayed as a coach looking for result's and advantages above and beyond fairness, care, safety, and so many other adjectives....well f.......k you pretty boy!!!

I'm sure the Rugby boys in NSW are clapping their hands in glee they took the penalties worked out for them now. :P
There horror media splash and player concern is over and they can go back to concentrating on spear tackles, pissing in public, on and off field punch ups and woman bashing... yeah I know somewhat cynical...but all the same - Hird and his mob tried to be smart arses and now its backfired with a massive shit sandwich to be consumed hahaha

Apparently WADA want to have the hearing in Switzerland. Might be another nice trip for James. Didn't he go to France during his year off?

Yeah he did actually, but seeing that the Essendon club paid for that trip, being his tutelage at the business/management school in France and I dare say his accommodation, airfares and this time he'd be dipping into his own pocket --- who knows?

But then again maybe he could use some of the $1,000,000.00 odd dollars he was paid for the year he had off???

goodness that club must have money to burn ..... it does have players
