Regardless of that, there is no way I will withdraw my support for the only side of politics that has a plan to fix the budget, the other side is in complete denial of the structural problems, to be honest I agree with the Liberal Democrat bloke the cuts are just not big enough.
Brownwyn is not a minister, Im really not that fussed about her as speaker.
Our time on the Security Council is almost up, I have my doubts it really achieved much, Julie Bishop would of got just as much done regardless of whether we were on the SC or not.
I cant blame Johnson for bagging the Naval Contractors, the Collins class Subs have been an unmitagated disaster, the current Hobart Class destroyers are TWO YEARS over due and Millions over budget, Stephen Smith was asleep at the wheel signing up deals to build projects that could not be delivered just to keep unions happy.
The lunacy of trying to build a complete draft paper to product defence capablilty in an economy like ours that is just not suited needsto be knocked on the head, We had no problems when we puchased our kit off the shelf, the Oberon Class Subs, Adelaide Class Frigates and Charles F Adams class destroyers, delivered excellent value and service.
Finally Swan, What is going on mate?? your reading the Sunday Times - Murdoch Press, even I don't do that. Isnt Rupert brainwashing you?
Sorry Bazza but I don't understand how you can be so dismissive of the LIES told by Messrs Abbott and Barnett. If the finances as so bad why is Abbott so strident in trying to get is PPL into existence?
With respect to B Bishop she has apparently thrown out about 5 of almost 300 non-Labor members. Almost as fair and balanced as Fox News. Speaking of which my sources are somewhat eclectic, it includes both the Sunday Times and Fox News. However, even I have standards which don't sink to the level of the Bolt Report.
J Bishop would not have had the Security Council as a forum if the previous government had not pursued a seat on that body. How is she going with respect to improved GST revenue for WA?
Finally, going back to the LIE from Abbott that there would be no cuts to the ABC and SBS. Why did he make the promise if as he alleged the finances were so bad prior to the last Federal election? Could it be that he is incapable of telling the truth and his credo is "whatever it takes"?
I agree and see it like Jeff Kennett, like he said he and I were furious he made the promises not to cut, promising to do the hard things hardly wins votes, so its normal they don't broadcast them before, I really could not give a toss what Im more concerned about is reeling in the age of entitlement, and IM pretty sure Abbott Hockey and Co promised to do that time and time again.
One promises I would of been mighty annoyed about was stopping the boats , if they had blown that then I would of been looking to vote elsewhere, but they havent they kicked a goal there.
Swan you and I both know the GST cannot change without all the states agreeing, there is no way any State Senator can do it alone or even prosecute a case for it, so why do it, WA senators can bang on about it as much as they like , there is no way NSW , Vic, Tas etc will agree while they rake in GST bucks and pokie revenues , meanwhile back in backward loserville we refuse to reform gambling in this state and rip ourselves of Billions.
With declining Iron and Gas revenues - the GST for WA will start to bick up anyway.
J Bishop could of pursued the case - on or off the SC, you don't need a seat there to pursue it. The Netherlands and Malaysia did. Lets see if NZ moves mountains during its tenure.
B Bishoop,,Pfft,,the bluff and bluser in the House of Reps, means bugger all, its all a faint acompli down there anyway.
As for the PPL, for the record I am dead set against any form of PPL., if you want kids pay for them your bloody self.
