Two weeks ago many WCE fans had him signed seales and delivered to WCE next year.

As you say he is going to be very busy.

A month ago the same people had Worsfold on the Coaches scrapheap.

I don't think we had him on the scrapheap kirbs. I for one thought he was going to pull the pin, but gracefully and go out under his own terms.

Scrapheap not the right word maybe. Done and Dusted and that was in his own mind as well I believe, but a quick turnaround, for whatever reasons

Maybe the players convinced him to go around again.

The way Brisbane have handled the Voss sacking is disgraceful! They should be ashamed of themselves.

I dont think WCE fans had him signed sealed and delivered but he was certainly on the top of all the fans wish list if Woosha was to call it a day and lets face it a month ago that was looking a real possibility.
Why wouldnt clubs have Roos as there number 1 choice of coach?
He's the best "unemployed" coach out there.
Dont worry all those clubs in all those states mentioned would have made him huge offers.

According to media reports he was buying a house in Perth. Of course, a footy 'journalist' in Perth getting their story wrong. IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!

I think Brisbane have made a bad mistake here, listening to their president over the last few days a few things have come out

1) They have spoken to Roos and some others, not sure who the others are but he said they were all better than Voss - they better move quick as melbourne has interviewed most of the others that are not coaching that are decent
2) They have put an offer to roos, but he has not accepted, they then panicked because Melbourne offered 1.5 million to Roos per year. Roos has always said he wont say I want to coach a team if that team currently has a coach in place - hence the sacking of Voss
3) The president admitted that they didnt want Voss to coach out the season because if Brisbane wins its last three games they could finish 9th and its not that bad a year.

This will lead to all sorts of bad issues in Brisbane. At least the money the AFL will make in fining Essendon can be used to prop up Brisbane for the next few years. This will take them forever to get over.

Always a risk when your board has no one with footy experience on there......

going by the bio of the President he has footy expereince and is more qualified than those on here to know about Voss and his capabilities:

Angus Johnson was appointed as Brisbane Lions Chairman after Tony Kelly officially stood down from the role in August 2010.

Angus is a joint Managing Director of Citimark Properties - a leading international property developer and investment company.

He was elected to the Lions Board in February 1999 at the start of the Club's most successful era and has since been re-elected by the members on a number of occasions.

A former Australian Rules Football player with Southport, Adelaide's Norwood Club and the University of Queensland, Angus has been involved with most areas of the Club's operations - especially football, marketing, membership and the search for new licensed premises since being elected.

fair call Mark, I didnt know that about the president and ill stand corrected.

I still think its a dumb move though to sack a coach without having a new one already lined up.....How do they look now if Roos does go to melbourne
