Good to see Khawaja in. He may not be a great success straight away, but surely they must persevere for a while. Let him build some confidence. Go Aussie!!!

I thought that Starc was a little hard done by being dropped, however I was not unhappy to see Harris back. Thank goodness he was brought in as Pattinson & Siddle struggled to either dismiss or contain the English batsmen on a flat & true wicket. Siddle was a little unlucky with the no ball but unfortunately he has no one to blame but himself.

I am not totally convinced that Khawaja is the answer at number 3 but I prefer him getting another opportunity over Warner, who wasted his & showed disrespect.

Good captaincy for Clarke to throw the ball to Smith for a Hail Mary. Those 3 wickets were worth their weight in gold. It does beg the question why Smith was not bowled at all in the first test.

I think Australia is in front in this test at the moment but they need to wrap up England's innings as soon as possible & the put a huge score on the board. They will not get better batting conditions to do so. They must do more than draw level with England otherwise Swann is more likely to come into play on the final 2 days.

I cannot work out what is wrong with the Australian bowlers at the moment. Harris gets 2 early wickets to have England on 9/313. They then proceed to bowl 6 overs of absolute shit for 44 runs. England are now 9/357 & threatening to take the game away from Australia.

Amazing. Pattinson decided to bowl a decent ball that you might actually bowl to a top order batsman. Why do they go short ball happy when number 11 comes in?

Australia must see off Anderson & the first 20 overs of the new ball. If they can do that a big score could be achievable.

Suddenly the pitch looks difficult and they have have a couple of shouts !!!
We must show more patience and keep batting like test match players and forget about the other forms of the game.
