I believe there was a hearing last night and he received 2 weeks

Old School- I definitely did not want to be jammed in there- too busy for me!

Baafle- thanks for your responses- a bit of detail and shows you know your stuff or can see the game ok if all of what you are saying is true (not sure as I haven’t seen many games of B grade this year)

2 weeks big penalty- means if basso win this weekend the guy misses the GF?

Normally i would agree that 2 weeks in a finals series is a big penalty but from from i saw he is lucky that's all it is.
To support this i was shown some damming photographic evidence last night showing the incident. It is pretty well as i described it and he is lucky only 2 weeks.

Thanks for the update BAAFLE  I think I was at the bar when the collision occurred so that’d be why I didn’t see it and why I didn’t have a comment on it apart from  what I was told by other people who were no doubt several beers deep . 
I too have seen all four of the photos presented to the tribunal and yes one of them doesn’t look good at all. What gets me the most is that between two field umpires one of which is a senior umpire  and an umpire advisor (the guy  in the white cap in the background of one of the photos  ) not one of them could see the players number that made the contact or possibly none of them thought it was a reportable offence , or maybe it wasn’t a late a hit as you may have thought ?  Who’s really knows as there’s no rolling footage of it. 
All I know is the player who was suspended is not a thug and if high contact was made it definitely wasn’t deliberate as I believe evidence given was that the WC ruckman was pushed into the collision from behind also therefore bringing the contact on sooner.
We cop it and we  now move on to tomorrow’s games.

I think we know the state of the umpires at the moment, who would want to be one?
In the Colts game, Whitfords had 2 red cards in the space of 5 minutes and both were thrown out after the game.
