Hi, hello, how do you do. The talk went rather quiet this week which has annoyed Frank and his viewers. This is a high volume topic, B grade football so I'm disappointed in all your efforts this week, BE BETTER. Franks super excited for some high quality games so lets dive in:

West Coast v Wembley- 1 v 2 back at the Hamptons in what should be an exciting game. Will Fullbacks beloved Wombles get some boys back? or are they doomed for an elimination game next week? West Coast are just rolling along and at home, I'm expecting them to be hard to beat. Sun's out and so will Freddie and the Boys, 5 goals to the Toasters

Bassendean v Wanneroo- You got ask yourself, who wants silly Saturday earlier? Bassendean have been a bit up and down recently but finished in 3rd after coming up from C grade. Fair effort Frank thinks and you think recent fianls form for the Swans will have them excited. Wanneroo have built momentum since the Coast game where they got beat so will be excited for the opportunity after some hard years in A grade. Looking at the teamsheets from R1, bit has changed for Wanneroo compared to Basso so will bak the Feral Roos by 2 goals.

Love to hear all your thoughts after whats been a placid week of B grade nonsense. Frank is keen on sucking a few back tonight at the Queens, so if you are around, come buy me a beer would ya. Peace out brothers.

Frank it is fair to say that a dictionary or spell check may be necessary for all your posts in the future.

Looking forward to some very good games of football MrM did happen to see one player from a particular team on social media very parochial about their teams chances of winning. I wonder if Unholytugboat will send them a stern message about their behaviours.
Where is fullback? Your overzealous nature doesn’t go unnoticed either and we love your work.

Can’t wait to see what happened this weekend though, arguable, but definitely the 4 best sides MrM has seen this season all playing, so who needs the full season, we have got what we thought all along.
(Except those who said Wanneroo would do the double drop)
Looking at you TheShiz - said that back in 2017...thank you people don’t forget.

West Coast v Wembley

Two of the slicker sidles moving the football, and I’m sure will be a wonderful game.
West Coast easily the best side I have seen all season and can see them going all the way, whereas Wembley will be out to stop their quick ball movement.
Can see it being a West Coast win though.
West Coast by 3 goals

Bassendean v Wanneroo

A game between two proud and strong clubs here. Bassendean were talked about early in the season about premiership fancies, so they need to prove that in this finals series with a statement here.
Wanneroo is looking to make a statement of their own as well and show that hard work pays off. Should be a classic contest, and Wanneroo will be in the victors lounge Saturday evening.

Wanneroo by 2 goals

MrM also thoroughly enjoyed the Perth Football League submission to the Parliamentary Inquiry, Sam and David held themselves very well.

Thank you all, Fullback keep your distance, everyone else enjoy.

G'day Lads, I was waiting your post Frank before making mine. Also like you I was awaiting an update regarding the B Grade Social Media raised issue, however, maybe somebody's "trusty nokia 3315" isn't working or they can't "resume normal transmission".

More importantly Finals;

Semi Final 1. Bassendean v Wanneroo

Basso have worked very hard to progress through the Grades over the last 6 or so years and in 2017 were playing D Grade (Premiers against Gosnells).

Whilst Wanneroo in 2017 were playing B Grade (Premiers against Kingsway) and obviously the 2 following years in A Grade.

MANY WOULD SAY THIS IS DAVID V GOLIATH.

As previously articulated Basso play a high pressure play on at all cost type game and obviously it works as they finished 3rd.

One area of concern for Basso is that they haven't kicked more than 10 goals in any games this year.

Wanneroo have gone about their season diligently and secured their finals spot in the last round of the season.

Player points this game Wanneroo 35 ( season high) v Basso 74 (must be an error there Basso).

I like what I see and hear about Basso as they are a Club on the up.

Home ground advantage and a hardworking/skilful Team Basso are and they are to win this game by 11 Points.

Semi Final 2

West Coast v Wembley

Should be a cracker!

Wembley have a few jets returning including none other than Stan the Man.

The last 4 weeks Wembley have been managing their list noting injuries/work/family commitments etc.

To me nothing replaces Match Fitness and the chopping and changing of Team Selections leading into Finals isn't ideal and can be quite unsettling.

West Coast on the other hand are very settled.

Home ground and match fitness advantage makes me tip West Coast by 9 Points.

Can't wait for the Final Scores to come in.

Ohh Extra Good Luck to the Whitfords Colts in the Elimination Final.....

Gday Frank,

I see that it's been recommended that you use a dictionary or spell check.

Mate I obviously dont so please keep your brilliant posts coming in...a big thanks for all your work this year...enjoy the coolies at Queens....

Also an extract from an earlier post...

Is there such a word as "sidles"?

...."TheShiz - said that back in 2017...thank you people don’t forget.

Happy to report I have seen no clubs breaching their own social media policies this week.

Firstly Fullback, sidle is a word, like you sidling up to MrM, thank you for being so obtuse though.
Unholytugboat, great to hear and thank you for taking the time away from the other threads to join in this one.
I was afraid this would happen, the fun police coming out to play, its very sad to see.

Well what a very interesting mixture of results. Wembley booked a spot in the Grand Final with a good win over West Coast, with West Coast in danger of missing out again if they don’t bring their best against Bassendean this weekend. Bassendean looked a lot bigger than the young Roos, and were able to control the game from the outset. Wanneroo did threaten to get back into the game, but it was to no avail. Bassendean came home strong in the last with the good breeze.
Well done to the young Roos, on a great season.

Should be another good round of fixtures this weekend cannot wait to see where the cards fall...

Firstly Mr Mysterious, Again in laymans terms "sidles" isn't a word (source Oxford Dictionary) and your Recalcitrant ways does you no good at all.

More importantly Football.

I had the pleasure to watch 3 games at Basso.

Great venue, tucker, cold beers and vocal crowd supporting 5 different Clubs during the day. Paradise! It gets better though.....

Game 1 West Coast v Whitfords. Colts

West Coast had too much class and polish at key moments. Several West Coast players who if given the chance will play League next year. Bright future for West Coast.

Whitfords needs another 2 quality mids and a Ruck to compete and beat the better Teams.

Game 2 Mount Lawley v Whitfords. Reserves

Great game between 2 evenly matched Teams.

Whitfords trailing by 2 goals at 3 quarter time but had the breeze in the last which they used wisely to win.

Game 3 Bassendean v Wanneroo. League

Wanneroo with first use of the breeze (2 to 3 goal advantage) and the first score (a point) was at the 13 minute mark.

Basso looked too big, strong, skillful and more determined than Wanneroo and should have won by 10 Goals instead of 6.

Wanneroo looked very young accross all lines and were lacking that key polish and experience at key moments.

In saying that the future looks very strong for Wanneroo if their League players were local colts from the last 2 years.

Wanneroo perhaps wisely playing the long game in their planning in this shortened season.

I did state before the game that this was David v Goliath and for Basso to Win.

Basso made a Big Statement of intent with their win and were in the "victors lounge Saturday evening".

Basso well done and your hunt for the Holy Grail continues.

Didn't see the colts but from what I have seen and heard both Swan Ath and Wanneroo are a fair bit better than the other teams in B colts this yr. Both clubs continue to have strong colts teams and they have some seriously good kids coming through from this yr which is obviously good for their future.
The Ressies saw us dominate the 1st quarter with the wind and hold our own in the 2nd to put us in a strong position at 1/2 time. Unfortunately the premiership 3rd qrt was poor and Whitfords came home with more run the 2nd half to pip us by a point. All considering a good effort by our ressies so congrats on a successful yr.

I decided to stay to watch Basso v Wanneroo in the league and I do concur with Fullback the Wanneroo side were a lot younger and physically smaller and consequently struggled to score.Wanneroo had enough of it but Basso were more skilful, made better decisions(especially kicking with the breeze),a lot cleaner by hand and foot and ran over them. I see Basso had 41 player points and Wanneroo 30 which probably sums up the game and the stage of development both sides are at.

On nxt week Basso v West Coast, Basso were good when they got outside and have some good defenders and forwards but Wanneroo seemed to win the centre & clearance battle so given that if West Coast get that much midfield ball they are a lot better equipped to capitalise on this ascendancy and should win.
