BH: good question -- not closely, which I am sorry about, because as you know, it turnned out to be a good test match. Kevin O'Brien seems to be a very good player in all forms of the game. Goodness he has better record in test cricket then the very talented Eoin Morgan, whom also hails from Ireland.

I think mini tours with one test a couple of first-class games and couple of one day internationals would be the way to go in future years.

What did you think of Ireland's first effort BH?

gtr; I think Safraz took 9-86 in about 1979? He was solid back-up to the great Imran Khan as a seamer from memory.

Congratulations to Pakistan on their victory.

In their any possibility on this cricket earth that England's batsmen will learn how to play left-arm seam bowlling?

Who was England's last decent left-hand seamer? John Lever?

No doubt the likes of Broad will be questioning how Pakistans bowlers could roll Englands batsmen over so easily when he and the rest of the English bowlers struggled v Pakistans batsmen......only early days but if Eng lose this series to Pakistan and Root fails to convert a 50 into a 100....how long will Root remain captain and more importantly Broad and Jimmy remain Eng main bowlers?

Can't think of many left arm English seamers. The last I think is former Sandgroper Alan Mulalley.

Yeah cant think of too many outside Lever & Mullally. Ryan Sidebottom was a handy one in the early/mid 2000s.

Remember Sidebottom was quiet late in his playing career when he got a callup for test duties. He done quiet well in the short time he played, from memory.
