I guess BH, cricket is a team game, and of late this Aust test team has not relied on one person delivering the wickets or runs in every test. Though agree the bowlers have hidden the batting frailties of late.

Come end of the day though,  cricket is about taking 20 wickets and scoring more runs than the opposition....which the Aussies have done of late....

Great knock by Cummins last night though, the WI quicks had their tails up and were bowling with some zip.....whatever folk think of Cummins, he has delivered with bat n ball when needed, since becoming captain.

Gee Steve Smith is a shadow of his former self both with the bat and now in the field.
He has dropped 2 catches at second slip in this innings, the one last night was a dolly.
WI building a nice lead now.

Smith having a Barry Crocker. Can't bat, can't bowl, can't catch. Reminds me of an old hot mic moment in cricket.

Went for the screamer and grassed it when it should have been Khuwaja's catch at first slip.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

The Windies tried to occupy the crease. But that's not their game.Stroke players are the windie players
Chandapaul Jnr bats like his father Chiv.Very compact player. But the rest are calypso cricketers
Brisbane surrounded by rain clouds N,S,E,W..And the remnants of a tropical cyclone. Will rain day 4.

Hopefully the rain relents for long enough to get a result in this game. It is tantalisingly poised ATM. The West Indies have been fantastic in the way they have competed. A couple of poor sessions have cost them a better position

The forecast for Brisbane is 100% chance of rain.
Between 30 to 80 mm
Severe thunderstorms that will also stop play.
In our wettest part of winter.Where lucky to get 20 mm of rain in a day.

What a superb spell of bowling by Shamar Joseph 6/60 off 10 straight overs after seemingly breaking his toe whilst batting last night.
As for the continual failures by the majority of the Top 7 batters, well Ive had my say plenty of times but it seemingly goes on and on without any change!
In 45 years of watching Test cricket I can honestly say this Top 6-7 are the flakiest bunch I have ever seen, only Smith would have got a look in to any of the 80s, 90s, naughties era, the rest would barely be playing Shield cricket back then!

Oh dear!
Losing to the current minnows WI at the supposed "Gabbatoir" as the ES call it and believe should hold Test preference over Perth.
Shamar Joseph's bowling was unbelievable not just today but both Tests, made a very flaky and ordinary Australian batting line up look exactly that ordinary and flaky!
Time for change in this Test XI, but start with McDonald & the supposed batting coach Divinuto, who has overseen the worst collapses imaginable in his time involved as a batting coach which has been far too long!

What a fantastic effort by the WI....great for their young side and the game of test cricket as a whole. Hopefully the WI board can back their test team and ensure the likes of young Joseph don't get wide eyed with easy T20 money.

Not sure why folk would point the finger at McDonald for this loss...from memory BH I didnt hear you call for Langer's head after India's C team ....not just beat....but easily beat, Aust a few years back at the GABBA.....agree about Di Venuto though....after that 2nd innings performance....looks like Aust needs a new opener, number 3, 5, 6 and 7 BH.....who do you suggest?

Solid effort 2nd innings effort by the new opener in Smith, and to a lesser extent, the new number 4 in Green.....so Smith in his new role, averaged 60 for the series......No doubt  folk will say it was against a weakened attack......yet I also hear in the same sentence.... the WI have unearthed a new bowling superstar in S Joseph....plus the other Joseph and Roach aren't mugs either.....not sure who to believe here.
