I'll tell you why anchorman, no Natanui and Kennedy, no Fyfe and Sandilands and Freo supporters have lost faith in Ross Lyon and are a bit disillusioned about where the club is heading.

You really should read the West Anchor, back page article yesterday on Hasleby calling for Taberner to come straight in, also one on Mundys views, another featuring Adrian Fletcher the other day, plenty of regular updates on Sandilands and Fyfe, a dockers story or two EVERY day of the week! Yes slightly more Eagles attention but that is simply because they are much larger and much more successful I would assume. And the Alex Johnson story is in today's.
On the derby the Eagles contenders claims would be shattered if they somehow lost to this Freo side in front of a home crowd, the Dockers have been playing mostly awful football, the effort against Hawthorn was comical

Yeah I have noticed a lack of discussion at work given there are an even number of Eagles and Dockers supporters there. Usually there is a fair bit of banter. I think everybody is assuming the Eagles will win easily.

For the first time in quite a while I just cant see Freo being competitive in this one. Would love to be wrong but we will get hammered in the middle and cant kick enough goals to stay in games for long enough against good sides.

If the West would like to run a real feel good story maybe they should look at the Alex Johnson story.Alex Johnson from the Sydney Swans.He last played AFL in the 2012 grand final, won by the Swans.He has had five knee recos since then and been under the knife multiple times.A come back this week, now that is a story.Good luck Alex.You deserve it.
But is it really Derby week?Does every one think that it just a forgone conclusion that the Toasters will win it?Remember that they just fell over the line in the previous Derby.
Do I think Freo can win?Maybe not, but I hope they can.Even if they don't win, I hope they take it right up to them.
Will I be there!!! Certainly not, couldn't stand being among all the click clack of the Grannies knitting and booing the Umpires.
Now talking of umpires, I see that the AFL put a ban on certain WA umpires actually being in charge of the Toasters games.But that will change for this game.Just as a guess, I would say that We certainly wont get Brett Rosebury to officiate in this one.But I would almost become a punter to back Margetts and Dalgleish getting games.
Oh and I posted this in the AFL general so that maybe , just maybe, my comments would draw responses from the Toasters supporters her.They can comment without fear of their tantrums being deleted if posted on the Fremantle site.

From what I am hearing around my side of town, the Eagles are very wary of this game. They have a habit of dropping games that they shouldn't when they shouldn't.
And anchor....you really can be a sour ol sooky la la!!! Get yourself a hobby mate, it'll give you something other than purple to think about.

This game is no gimme JB. I would be very surprised if Freo didn't take the Eagles on.

Apparently the bookies have taken note of the Eagles's supporters in addition to the Subiaco supporters and both Swans and Freo to start at tens on this week end.

There's no way SD will be tens on given the way umpires hate them and the WAFC for that matter for scheduling 3 games against Subi this year.
